2025 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1288891' first='Bode' last='Goodman'] (Southeast Polk to Waukee Northwest)

Coming off a junior year in which he averaged 20.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 2.0 steals a game for Southeast Polk, Goodman has transferred to Waukee Northwest for his senior year. A skilled guard who can play with or without the ball in his hands, he figures to be a really good fit in Brett Watson's offensive attack, as he'll have the opportunity to knock down shots off the catch, or create for his teammates off the dribble. The Wolves should be one of the best teams in 4A this season, and adding a player who can score in bunches as well as defend on the perimeter like Goodman certainly raises their ceiling.

2026 PF [player_tooltip player_id='1765513' first='Ryan' last='Clair'] (East Sac County to Kuemper Catholic)

Kuemper Catholic was already going to be among the best teams in 2A this winter, then they added the services of Clair, an athletic 6-4/6-5 big man who will be a game-changer for the Knights on both ends of the floor. Clair averaged 18.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.1 blocks a game as a sophomore at East Sac County, and his ability to control the glass, protect the rim, and score efficiently at the rim will be hugely beneficial for the floor stretchers in Carroll.

2025 CG Peyton McCollum (Maryville, MO to Waukee Northwest)

The son of new Drake head coach Ben McCollum, Peyton (pictured) comes to Northwest as a 1,000+ point scorer in Missouri, and he'll give the Wolves another dynamic playmaking guard who can play with or without the ball in his hands. He's a high IQ player who can create off the dribble, knock down shots both off the dribble and the catch, and he's a solid defender who knows where he needs to be at all times. In addition to Peyton, the Wolves will also be gaining the services of younger brother Tate, a sophomore.

2026 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1381427' first='Trey' last='Wright'] (City to Linn-Mar)

This is one of the more under-the-radar transfers around the state, but Wright, who averaged 10.2 points and 3.0 assists a game as a junior for the Little Hawks, could be a piece that was missing for the Lions in the backcourt. He's a really athletic guard who can put the ball on the floor and play downhill, attacking the rim hard, and he's a talented playmaker who sees the floor well and creates for his teammates. However, his biggest contributions for the Lions could come on the defensive end, where he can be a really good on-ball defender when he's locked in.

2027 PF [player_tooltip player_id='2420789' first='Emerson' last='Bridgewater'] (South Tama to Madrid)

An athletic 6-4/6-5 big man, Bridgewater had a really productive freshman season with South Tama, putting up 9.8 points and 7.4 rebounds a game. He'll give Madrid an athletic rim protector in the paint, something that will allow their guards to play even more aggressively on the perimeter, as well as a dominant force on the glass on both ends of the floor. He has a bit of a face-up game and can step out and stretch the floor, and his footwork and touch around the rim allow him to score efficiently in the paint as well. He'll be a nice fit with one of 1A's best teams.

2026 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1765539' first='Max' last='Roach'] (Oskaloosa to Waukee)

A shifty, skilled guard with tight handles, the ability to shoot it at a high clip off the dribble, and excellent court vision, Roach put up huge numbers at Oskaloosa as a sophomore, averaging 18.4 points and 5.1 assists a game. He has followed that up with a strong spring and summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2270834' first='Iowa' last='United'], and will transfer up to 4A Waukee for his junior and senior seasons. He'll probably be asked to be a bit more of a floor general, using his vision and passing skills, with the Warriors, but his ability to put the ball in the bucket will surely translate to the higher level of play as well.

2027 SF [player_tooltip player_id='2419757' first='Bryer' last='Putman'] (Wilton to Muscatine)

In terms of classifications, Putman's move is the largest, going from 2A Wilton to 4A Muscatine. He was fantastic as a freshman for the Beavers, averaging 17.1 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.8 steals, and 2.5 blocks a game. He's a great athlete with a big, physical frame that he uses to power through contact at the rim and finish, or compete on the glass. The Muskies won just five games last season, so the addition of Putman will be welcomed, and with their top five scorers returning, plus Putman, they could quickly turn things around.

2026 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1765514' first='Noah' last='Conley'] (Sioux City North to Sioux City Heelan)

Heelan lost a ton of production to graduation, so adding Conley from across town will be a welcome addition for the Crusaders. He's a talented guard who can score from all three levels, but he's at his best when he's playing downhill and attacking the rim or putting pressure on the defense to create quality looks for his teammates. He averaged 13.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 2.1 steals a game as a sophomore for the Stars.
