Putman is a ridiculously productive player on both ends of the floor, averaging 23.6 points, 12.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.0 steals, and 3.2 blocks per game on nearly 52% shooting last season. He’s a bouncy, physical wing who can bully his way to the rim off the dribble, and he’s excellent in the mid-range as both a shooter and a passer. Putman is one of the most versatile stat-sheet stuffing players in the state, putting up huge numbers as both a freshman and sophomore for the Beavers. Last season he averaged 23.6 points, 12.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.0 steals, and 3.2 blocks per game on 52% shooting. A tough, athletic wing who can play downhill and attack the rim or shoot over defenders in the mid-range, he does everything well and is primed to have a ridiculous junior year.

Putman was one of the most dominant two-way players in Class 2A last season, and not just among freshmen, but among all players. He averaged 17.1 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.8 steals, and 2.5 blocks per game, using his physically imposing frame, advanced footwork, and strong ball-handling to routinely get to the rim for finishes. He’s also a menace on the offensive glass, averaging 4.0 offensive rebounds a game last season. He has a great second jump that he uses to pull down boards, and, as his stats showed, he’s a versatile defender who gets his hands on a ton of passes.
