Session two of the DMV Live took place last weekend, featuring even more teams ranging from Pennsylvania to NC and everywhere in between. There were hundreds of college coaches in attendance, the atmosphere was electric and the games were fantastic with a February vibe to them.

Here's a look at part 3 some of the MD standouts from the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='1494073' first='Rob' last='Fields'] | 6'8” C | McDonough 2025

Field impressed quite a few college coaches this past weekend with his play, picking up a number of new offers and being one of the most impactful big men in the event. The 6'8” center is a true beast in the post with his strength to clear out space and athleticism as a finisher above the rim, he has soft touch with both hands, he played with a fantastic motor and he showed that he knows his game and played to his strengths. He finished the session first in rebounds at 14.7 per game, third in blocks at 2,7 per game and averaged 13.3 points and 3 assists per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1489079' first='Miles' last='Franklin'] | 6'6” WF | St. Andrew's 2025

Franklin is a player who we have been watching for years now and he's taken huge strides in his game over the past two years, and had a slew of college coaches following him throughout the weekend. He didn't disappoint as he showed his elite athleticism as a finisher in transition and when he got downhill, he showed a lot of improvement in his ability to create off the bounce, he made plays for others and was very efficient scoring it in the paint and in the midrange off the bounce. He finished the session averaging 19.3 points, 5 assists and 4.3 rebounds shooting an eye popping 73.3% from the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='1494165' first='Jayson' last='Peterson'] | 6'8” PF | St. Andrew's 2026

Peterson didn't have the best showing in session 1 in his first event with St. Andrew's, but he bounced back in a big way in session 2 as he was both productive and efficient in many different ways. The 6'8” post is a good athlete who moves very well and has good pop around the rim, he showed his ball skills with some impressive drives, he finished well around the rim and showed touch out to the elbows while providing a good motor on both ends. He finished the session averaging 16 points and 6.3 rebounds and shooting 73.5% from the field.

Israel Tchoubfang | 6'6” WF | Good Counsel 2027

While Good Counsel is going through a bit of a rebuilding phase, Tchoubfang is emerging as one of the best young prospects in the DMV and a player coaches need to keep an eye on. The 6'6” wing has great physical and athletic tools already and should become very versatile because of those, he plays hard on both ends of the floor and he has a great base skillset on the perimeter that just continues to get better with time. He finished the session averaging 15 points and 4 assists per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2252277' first='BJ' last='Ranson'] | 6'2” CG | Mount St. Joseph's 2026

Ranson was impressive in both sessions, showing that he could be one of the breakout players in the Baltimore area this year as he continues to develop his body and his game. He's a confident and talented shot making guard who can get hot quickly and fill it up in bunches, he can handle the ball and create off the bounce with his shiftiness and he shows a lot of competitiveness on both ends of the floor. He finished the session averaging 12 points per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2353590' first='Zikom' last='Etolue'] | 6'4" CG | Mount St. Joseph's 2027

Etoule is another very intriguing and impressive young guard on this MSJ team, as he showed flashes of brilliance and had some really good games against some talented teams. At 6'4” and likely still growing he already fits the mold of a D1 prospect, he attacks downhill aggressively, he can make shots from multiple levels when he's left open and he showed toughness competing on both ends of the floor. He finished the session averaging 11.5 points and 4.8 rebounds, including a 22 point 5 rebound game against a talented PVI team.

Mezari Browne | 6'3” PG | Mt. Carmel 2027

I got my first glimpse of Browne early in April with [program_tooltip program_id='2077005' first='Team' last='Thrill'], and I was very impressed with both his frame and skillset for his age, and when I watched Mt. Carmel play Mt. Zion it only solidified it for me that he'll be one of the top guards in the Baltimore area over the next few years. The smooth lefty has something to his game as he's shifty and quick off the bounce, he can get in the paint and finish well around the rim, he understands the game and makes plays defensively. He'll have to continue to develop and get more consistent but he's definitely one to watch for moving forward.
