However, the transition between the scholastic period in June back to grassroots basketball in July serves a logical point to reset and refresh our prospect rankings. Last week, we hit the Class of 2027 expanding our rankings to a Top 25 while growing our Watch List to over 200 names. Now, to begin the month of July, we have released an expanded Top 125 for the Class of 2026 along with over 200 names on the Watch List. Along with releasing our rankings, we always like to dive deeper and provide more context. That means highlighting stock-risers, new names, positional breakdowns, and much more. Let’s begin here with a look at some of the rising juniors at the point guard position.
- Suffered an injury during football season that kept him out of most of his sophomore season.
- Athletic left-handed point guard with a high basketball IQ and a great motor.
- Averaged 12.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game in 6 contests as a sophomore.
- Currently holds offers from Butler, Kent State, Toledo, and UAB.
- Battled injuries during his sophomore season averaging 12.0 points in 13 games.
- Super athletic, explosive, left-handed point guard with good feel in ballscreen situations.
- Highly sought after prospect with a good amount of Big Ten and other high-major interest.
Highlights
- Projects as a two-way guard that can play on or off of the ball at the next level.
- Has put together a monster spring and summer playing his way into legitimate Division I interest.
- Averaged 19.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game as a sophomore.
- Averaged 11.0 points and 3.7 assists per game as a sophomore.
- Tough lead guard that controls the offense, guards the ball hard defensively, gets to the rim well off of the dribble.
- Currently holds an offer from Northern Illinois.
- Transferred from Mt. Vernon (Fortville) to Cathedral and helped lead the Fighting Irish to an undefeated month of June.
- Led the Marauders in scoring as a sophomore averaging 14. points per game.
- High-level two-way guard that really gets after the ball defensively. Great motor.
Highlights
- Had an excellent sophomore season leading Avon his scoring on their way to a Sectional championship.
- Really broke out at the Charlie Hughes Showcase as the Orioles emerged as a potential preseason Top 10 team in Class 4A.
- Talented shot-maker that has the offensive skill to be a go-to scoring option from the point guard spot.
Highlights
- Transferred from New Haven to Kokomo for his sophomore season where he averaged 6.9 points and 2.6 assists per game playing with Mr. Basketball Flory Bidunga and Indiana All-Star Karson Rogers.
- Super quick end-to-end with the ball in his hands and very athletic at the end of his drives.
- Playing with MR22 Elite, Michael Redd’s team, on the 3SSB Circuit in July.
Highlights
- Pure point guard that has contributed to a lot of winning in just two years. Parke Heritage is 43-16 with two Regional Championships with him as their point guard.
- Averaged 15.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game as a sophomore.
- One of the most productive playmakers and scorers in Indiana’s Class of 2026.
- Averaged 22.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game as a sophomore.
Highlights
- Averaged 10.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game as a sophomore at Lawrence Central.
- Extremely physical lead guard that has no issue playing through contact on his way to the basket.
- Projects as a tenacious two-way point guard at the next level.
