July is a signifcant month in the College Recruitment Schedule with two live evaluation periods, July 11-14 and July 19-21. As prospects return to their Grassroots Programs for the last leg of a long Summer Season, they get one last chance to stand out in front of College Coaches. For 2025s, they will look to balance team success and individual success in this final stretch while 2026s and 2027s continue to compete and get early feedback on who may be interested. In this article, I will detail 1 Prospect from the 2025 and 2026 Classes that I think College Coaches from Division One, Division Two, and Division Three/NAIA/JuCo should take a look at this month and 1 2027 who I think Coaches should get in early with. Check it out:

Division One - [player_tooltip player_id='1332455' first='Kaleb' last='Evans'] - Garner Road Basketball Club

Kaleb left a great impression on College Coaches with his performance at the SCBCA Team Camp and will be eager to continue that form to a new AAU Team in July - 3SSB's Garner Road. He is an extremely quick and shifty Guard who is a confident scorer from all three levels. The development of his perimeter shot is particularly intriguing and I have seen strong strides with it over the Summer. Evans holds offers from Winthrop, Jacksonville, SC State, Nicholls State, Western Carolina, Charlotte, and most recently, Presbyterian.

Division Two - [player_tooltip player_id='1149794' first='Ja'Kease' last='Salley'] - [program_tooltip program_id='2246675' first='Charleston' last='Raptors']

Salley projects as a wing at the next level but is versatile due to his length, strength, and athleticism. He will stand out both with his general play and with specific moments seemingly every time he is on the court. Ja'Kease is a true two-way player, capable of defending the opponent's best player and being a problem on the offensive end. He will get to the rim or his spots in the mid-range and has good playmaking to be trusted with the ball in his hands. He has two basketball offers and one football offer, but I wouldn't be surprised to see that first number grow in the next 30 days.

Division Three/NAIA/JuCo - [player_tooltip player_id='1978435' first='Bryson' last='Duck'] - [program_tooltip program_id='2163938' first='Next' last='Level Elite']

Bryson was one of my favorite under-the-radar prospects from the Scholastic Period and earned an offer from D3 Covenant College following a strong performance at their Team Camp. He is a balanced Point Guard that you can trust with the ball in his hands due to his handle, vision, and finishing ability. Duck excels in the pick-and-roll when finding the roller or turning a corner to get to the rack. Bryson runs with [program_tooltip program_id='2163938' first='Next' last='Level Elite'] who have plenty of recent success producing College Guards.

Division One - [player_tooltip player_id='1692243' first='Korie' last='Corbett'] - Upward Stars SE

Korie is a real talent who has already tasted success with his High School and will only look for more as he heads to the next level. Although he doesn't stand out from a size perspective, Corbett's work rate and athleticism provide a real advantage around the paint on both ends. He is a gifted scorer around the rim and from the mid-range and rebounds the ball on the defensive end at a high rate. He has shown signs of development with his perimeter shooting since the end of last season and there's no reason to believe he won't be efficient from there soon. He has found a home with Upward Stars SE this Spring and will continue with them in July.

Division Two - [player_tooltip player_id='1206191' first='Jake' last='Thomas'] - [program_tooltip program_id='2413030' first='Middleton' last='Hoops Elite']

[player_tooltip player_id='1206191' first='Jake' last='Thomas'] is a name I love to talk about when it comes to players I love for the next level. I see him as a winning player no matter where you put him on the court due to his IQ and floor as a prospect. He works hard on both ends of the floor and is a pest on both sides of the glass. Jake features one of the best spin moves in the state along with great feet and patience with the ball in the post. He can finish with either hand, through contact, and is even developing a good-looking jump shooting. Thomas runs with Nike's [program_tooltip program_id='2413030' first='Middleton' last='Hoops Elite'] and should begin to draw a crowd of coaches this month.

Division Three/NAIA/JuCo - [player_tooltip player_id='2078979' first='D'Marcus' last='Thomas'] - [program_tooltip program_id='2078753' first='Upward' last='Stars Columbia'] 17U

D'Marcus has been stacking impressive performances all summer long and it culminated with a terrific showing in North Augusta at the end of June. He showed his ability to get to his spots in the mid-range, spot-up from the perimeter, and beat defenders off the dribble in the open floor. Thomas has a knack for getting the ball downhill and into the paint where he can finish or kick to teammates. He also excels in knocking down tough shots off the dribble if the driving lanes are blocked up. Thomas plays with [program_tooltip program_id='2078753' first='Upward' last='Stars Columbia'] 17U who feature several 2026s playing up in age group.

Get In Early - [player_tooltip player_id='2104388' first='Robert' last='Wylie'] - Team Unleashed South Carolina (Team USC)

[player_tooltip player_id='2104388' first='Robert' last='Wylie'] is someone I believe College Coaches should begin to prioritze in the 2027 Class. He already holds offers from Jacksonville, Nicholls State, Queens, and Morris - so it's no secret just how talented this young prospect is. Wylie is a great athlete who can affect the game in many ways including close-range scoring, rim protection, and rebounding. He is versatile on the defensive end due to his quickness and frame, allowing him to make life difficult for opposing offenses near the basket and on the perimeter. Robert is also very mature on the court and never seems to be rattled regardless of the moment, which was displayed in his school's run to the 4A State Championship Last Season. Buy stock now with [player_tooltip player_id='2104388' first='Robert' last='Wylie']!
