Expert Analysis
Jay Anderson | Prep Hoops Scout
Evans looks to make a splash on the OTE scene with the YNG Dreamerz squad as he debuts at No. 50 in the latest rankings update. He’s a versatile presence at 6-foot-3 who’s shown he can operate in a variety of ways in the backcourt. He’ll look to make his presence felt on a talented Moravian Prep/YNG Dreamerz rotation which features a number of top prospects in the state already.

. This year the Wildcats will play in 5A Region 4 after going 28-2 and winning the 5A State Championship in 2023-24. Kaleb is a gifted scorer capable of creating his own bucket at all three levels. He is shifty, quick, and has good size which will cause him to be a matchup problem this season and allow him to fit in from day 1 at the next level. Although he can use his good handle to create space, Kaleb can also rise up and hit shots over tough defense. Evans committed to Winthrop University on September 14th.

Kaleb had one of the top individual performances of the weekend in Lexington’s matchup with Ridge View. Although the result of the game didn’t go as the Wildcats would have liked, Evans was a major bright spot displaying his ability to put the ball in the basket at a high level. He went for 29 Points on 11-18 FG and 5-7 3FG in the contest. Kaleb is extremely shifty and has a great handle to help him get through tight spaces, which is necessary considering the types of pressure teams will put on him. Evans also has deep range and was very effective in creating his own shots, particularly with side-step and step-back threes.
