*Disclaimer* Rankings at this age are just a starting point, as we have a lot of evaluating to do over the next few years, still have tons of players to discover and players will grow and develop quite a bit over that time. Please note that the rankings will look much different over the next few years.
#24 Donnell Jarrett Jr. | 6’0”” CG | Woodside
Jarrett is an intriguing young player for the two time defending state champs and should see an increased role in the years to come to showcase his overall talent. He’s a scrappy player who gives great effort and makes winning plays on both ends of the floor, he has a high IQ and great feel as a playmaker and he can move off the ball where he can make shots from deep as well.
@26 Jehmal Smith | 6’1” PG | Highland
Smith is one of the younger players on a very talented Highland School team, but he’s shown flashes of big time upside moving forward. He brings a lot of toughness to his team on both ends of the floor, he has a quick first step and is shifty off the bounce and he has shown shot making ability both off the catch and off the bounce.
#28 Cam Claiborne Cam Claiborne 5'10" | PG John Marshall | 2027 State VA | 5’10” PG | John Marshall
Claiborne played in a backup role as a freshman for the state champion Justices, and this summer he’s shown a lot of floor general ability leading Team Loaded VA on the 3SSB Circuit. He’s a rock at the lead guard spot handling pressure and getting his team into sets, he sets the tone defensively with his ability to guard the ball and he is a very good shooter from deep too.
#30 Kevin Parker Kevin Parker 5'11" | CG Denbigh | 2027 State VA | 5’11” CG | Denbigh
Parker is a two sport star who started on both the football and basketball team as a freshman, and as he continues to grow and develop he should become a very dynamic player. He’s a natural athlete with great speed in the open floor, he has good burst and shiftiness with the ball in his hands, he can score it in multiple ways and he’s a very good on ball defender too.
#34 Elijah Simpkins Elijah Simpkins 6'2" | CG Bishop Ireton | 2027 State VA | 6’2” CG | Bishop Ireton
Simpkins is part of a talented backcourt for an up and coming Ireton team, and he has shown that he’ll be one to watch in the WCAC over the next few years. At 6’2” the lefty has good size and is a smooth athlete who can get to spots off the bounce, he can create for himself and others with the ball in his hands and he plays with a good motor on both ends of the floor.
#36 Antonio Mack Antonio Mack 6'2" | PG North Cross | 2027 State VA | 6’2” SF | North Cross
Mack is a two sport star for North Cross who recently reclassified to the 2027 class and is part of one of the best 1-2 punches in the Roanoke area. He’s a natural athlete who can impact the game on both ends of the floor, he is a very good shooter from deep, he can make plays off the bounce and can score it in bunches when he gets it going.
#37 Will Mancine Will Mancine 6'4" | SG Hargrave | 2027 State VA | 6’3” SG | Hargrave
Mancine started on a. Hargrave varsity team that was very impressive this year, and he has shown he’s got a lot of tools that are intriguing moving forward. He has good size on the wing and is a good athlete who should get more explosive with time, he is a good shooter from deep off the catch and he can attack in straight lines and get to the rim where he’s a good finisher too.
#39 Maddox Patrick Maddox Patrick 6'6" | PF Trinity Episcopal | 2027 State VA | 6’6” PF | Trinity Episcopal
Patrick is a player who will likely move up this list as he continues to improve and define his game, much like his older brother Mason did in the 2025 class. He already has good size and is a mismatch with solid ball skills on the perimeter, he’s good in the post with the ability to score around the rim and he’s able to play and guard multiple positions too.
#40 Trey Barnhart Trey Barnhart 6'2" | CG Kellam | 2027 State VA | 6’2” CG | Kellam
Barnhart makes his debut in the rankings and is already looking like one of the best all-around guards in the Beach District after a big freshman year for the Knights. His game can best be described as mature, as he has a well rounded skillset with the ability to play on and off the ball, he can score it efficiently from all three levels, he has great footwork to create space and he’s never rushed in his approach.
#44 Jessiah Hines Jessiah Hines 5'11" | PG North Cross | 2027 State VA | 5’11” PG | North Cross
Hines is another very talented young player at North Cross that put up huge numbers throughout the year for them. While he’s a smaller guard Hines is a very impressive shot maker who has deep range and can drill it off the bounce, he has good wiggle and burst with the ability to change speeds and he has great instincts on both ends of the floor.
