Over the past few months, several local standouts have locked in commitments across Division II and Division III levels. Each player brings a different skill set. They offer long-term upside to their future programs.</p>   <p>What stands out most is that while these commitments are well deserved, the cupboard is far from empty. There is still plenty of talent in the area that college coaches should be tracking closely as the season continues.</p>   <p>Here's a look at some of the most recent commitments from the 804 and what they bring to the table.</p>   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='2459244' first='Amare' last='Cooper'] | 6'2 Guard | Monacan HS</h3>   <p>Committed to: <a href="//generic-entity?number=0">University of Mount Olive</a> (Division II)</p>   <p>Commit Date: October 27, 2025</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2459244' first='Amare' last='Cooper'] has long been regarded as one of the most efficient and effective scorers in the Richmond area. He's a true three-level scorer. He can beat defenders off the bounce. He punishes switches in the midrange. He also knocks down shots from deep. His ball-handling ability allows him to create space at will. He plays with a calm confidence. This confidence is evident in big moments. Mount Olive is getting a proven guard who knows how to score the ball. Playing with Team [program_tooltip program_id='2416185' first='Loaded' last='804'], he showcased his versatility as both a scorer and a playmaker, while consistently setting the tone defensively. He's a tough, hard-nosed guard who applies constant pressure on the ball and competes every possession. Offensively, he's a shooter who can get hot in a hurry and make defenses pay. He uses his length well around the rim, alters shots defensively, and plays above the basket when opportunities present themselves. Offensively, he's effective in the pick-and-roll and moves extremely well for his size. He brings value on the defensive end as a rim protector with a high motor and strong instincts. He had a strong summer with Local Legends NXTPro 17U, where his consistency and all-around game stood out. He's a high-percentage shooter from beyond the arc who also does a great job creating opportunities for others. His feel for the game, competitiveness, and willingness to leave it all on the floor make him a guard coaches trust. He consistently makes his teammates better and had multiple outings with significant scoring bursts during the summer.</p>   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='2548297' first='Gart' last='Heller'] | 6'7 Forward | Powhatan HS</h3>   <p>Committed to: <a href="//generic-entity?number=6">Shenandoah University</a> (Division III)</p>   <p>Commit Date: December 16, 2025</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2548297' first='Gart' last='Heller'] has been one of the biggest stock risers in the 804. His physical development and overall improvement have been noticeable, and his game continues to expand. He runs the floor well, has a strong feel in pick-and-roll situations, and provides rim protection on the defensive end. With his size, motor, and versatility, he's positioned to contribute early at Shenandoah.</p>   <p></p>   <p><strong>Final Thoughts</strong></p>   <p>These commitments are another reminder of the depth and quality coming out of the 804. While these players have secured their futures, there are still plenty of college-ready prospects in the region who deserve serious attention.
