They pulled away early and never looked back in a 75–46 win over J.R. Tucker. The Wildcats demonstrated their versatility offensively and defensively. They combined elite shooting, physical defense, and unselfish play throughout the night.

Led by a senior-driven backcourt, Deep Run controlled the pace from start to finish. Jack Dobranski, and [player_tooltip player_id='3071141' first='Grant' last='Butler'] applied continuous pressure on the defense. They stretched the floor with their shooting. They also created quality looks for their teammates. Tucker struggled to keep up with Deep Run's spacing. Their ball movement was also challenging. The Wildcats caught fire from beyond the arc.

Standout Performance Breakdown

Jack Dobranski was electric, pouring in 20 points while knocking down 6-of-8 from three and finishing 7-of-9 from the field. The 5'9 guard showcased why he's one of the better shooters in the area, mixing confidence, efficiency, and toughness. He added two steals and a block to cap off an all-around night.

[player_tooltip player_id='3071141' first='Grant' last='Butler'] continued to show his value as the engine of the offense. The Elmira commit finished with 16 points and seven assists. He also contributed three rebounds and three steals. He shot 2-of-3 from deep and a perfect 4-of-4 at the free-throw line. Butler's ability to control tempo, change speeds, and make the right read kept Tucker on its heels all night.

Sophomore forward Dizru Utah made his presence felt both inside and outside. He tallied 15 points, six rebounds, and two blocks. He shot 6-of-7 from the floor. At 6'4, Utah's ability to score at all three levels stands out. His quick first step and high motor further enhance his game.

Depth also played a key role in the win. Underclassmen like Alex Ludwig and CJ Wilson provided energy and impact minutes. Senior Cooper Hallam is a 6'1 forward. He did much of the dirty work by defending multiple positions and rebounding who will come back from injury soon. He also makes winning plays that don't always show up in the box score. These will help Deep Run in their future games.

This Deep Run group plays connected, competes on every possession, and can quickly change a game with their shooting. Their balance of experience, versatility, and togetherness makes them a tough matchup for anyone when they get rolling.

Standout Performances

Jack Dobranski (5'9 G, '26): 20 points, 6–8 3PT, 7–9 FG, 2 steals, 1 block (Deep Run)

[player_tooltip player_id='3071141' first='Grant' last='Butler'] (5'11 PG, '26 – Elmira commit): 16 points, 7 assists, 3 steals, 4–4 FT (Deep Run)

Dizru Utah (6'4 F, '28): 15 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks, 6–7 FG (Deep Run)

Written by Scout Riley Highfill
