Like the way that Simpkins provides depth in the backcourt being able to play on or off the basketball. He is a tad wiry which allows him to find his way into open gaps of the defense. Simpkins is an effective off-ball slasher in the half-court and uses it to his advantage. He had a few assists and found others for scoring chances. Simpkins also made a trip to the charity stripe. He tracks as a scholarship prospect.

Eli was one of the top performing guards over the weekend, really creating some buzz for himself in AC. He was in and out of the defense all game vs House We Built. They had a hard time containing him, and he was able to dice through the defense and get to the cup with ease. Simpkins shot the ball well from across the floor. Shot it with consistency over the contests as well when the defense started to react. Promising showing from the Ireton guard.
