Now that we’ve looked at the new additions and stock risers, it’s now time to take a look at the positional rankings. We’ve broken it down into three different categories in guards, wings and forwards.
Here’s a look at the top 5 shooting guards and small forwards in the class.
5) Justin Edwards Justin Edwards 6'5" | SG Bishop O’Connell | 2026 State VA | 6’3” SG | West Potomac (#15 Overall)
Edwards has jumped on the scene as one of the top players in the NOVA area after his big sophomore season at West Potomac, and his tools make us think he still has another leap in his game too. The 6’3” off guard is likely still growing, and he’s an athletic wing with a strong frame already and he knows how to use that frame to his advantage on both ends of the floor. He’s a true three level scorer who can work both on and off the basketball, he uses his athleticism on the defensive end to make plays and the way he’s improved this past year only bolds well for him moving forward.
4) Ruey Ruey Ruey Ruey 6'6" | SF Massanutten | 2026 State VA | 6’6” SF | Massanutten (#14 Overall)
While Ruey still has a ways to go until he’s a finished product, the impact he had playing on the post graduate level as a 16 year old and the improvement he showed throughout the season makes us think he’s going to be a big time prospect in the next few years. He has a great frame and is likely still growing (his brother is 6’10”), and it was his toughness and competitive edge that really impressed while playing mostly against players three years older than him. He has a good frame and is strong when he gets downhill, he’s an ambidextrous finisher at the rim, he makes plays defensively and he improved a lot in his shooting throughout the year.
3) Dreylan Creasey | 6’8” SF | Blue Ridge (#8 Overall)
Creasey is one of the most intriguing long term prospects in the state regardless of class, as he has a unique skillset for his size and is a walking mismatch. At 6’8” he has real guard and wing skills making him very tough to game plan for and matchup with, and he’s only scratching the surface with how good he can be moving forward. He’s strong and physical enough to take smaller guys to the post, he’s a good rebounder on both ends off the floor, he has great ball skills with the ability to shoot and take guys off the bounce on the perimeter and he can guard multiple positions too.
2) Deshawn Spellman Deshawn Spellman 6'6" | SF Landstown | 2026 State VA | 6’6” SF | Landstown (#6 Overall)
Spellman is perhaps the most intriguing prospect in all of the 757 regardless of class, as he already checks off some of the most important boxes when it comes to translating to the next level. He has a basketball frame at 6’6” with a strong upper body and long arms, and his perimeter skillset is very advanced for a player his age and at his size. The lefty is a dead eye shooter from deep with great form and he doesn’t need a lot of space to get it off, he’s a smooth athlete who can get downhill and play at the rim and he has great tools defensively too.
1) Quincy Wadley Quincy Wadley 6'5" | SG Bishop O'Connell | 2026 State VA | 6’4” SG | Bishop O’Connell (#3 Overall)
Wadley is one of four nationally ranked prospects at the top of this class, and his resume is very impressive including a First Team All WCAC selection as a freshman before dealing with injuries over the last year. The 6’4” off guard is supremely talented as he has a very polished skillset on the offensive end, both playing on and off the basketball. He scores the ball at will from multiple levels and makes tough shots from all over both on and off the ball. He drills shots from deep at a very high clip, he can handle and create space or get downhill and he has great instincts on both ends of the floor too.
