Now that we’ve looked at the new additions and stock risers, it’s now time to take a look at the positional rankings. We’ve broken it down into three different categories in guards, wings and forwards.
Here’s a look at part one of the wings rankings, looking at some of the best shooting guards and small forwards in the class.
25) Derrius Jones Derrius Jones 6'6" | SF Albemarle School | 2026 State VA | 6’6” SF | Albemarle (#66 Overall)
Jones makes his debut in the rankings after helping Albemarle to a state semifinal appearance, and he’s having a great spring and could see his stock continue to rise soon. The 6’6” wing looks the part with a strong frame and is a big time athlete, he’s dynamic in transition and attacks the glass hard and his skill set continues to get better with time.
24) Caleb Straughter Caleb Straughter 6'5" | SF Varina | 2026 State VA | 6’5” SF | Varina (#62 Overall)
Straughter makes his debut after showing flashes of brilliance with Varina this past year, and his strong play this spring with Team Richmond makes it clear that he has tons of upside moving forward. He’s a long and athletic wing who can get out in transition and play above the rim, he is a good shooter from deep off the catch and has huge upside defensively, making him an intriguing 3 and d prospect.
23) Jameer Reynolds Jameer Reynolds 6'5" | SF Carlisle | 2026 State VA | 6’5” SF | Carlisle (#61 Overall)
Reynolds has been a big part of Carlisle’s rebuild over the past few years, and since deciding to reclassify to the 2026 class he’s a prospect coaches should get eyes on. At 6’5” he’s a big wing with great physical traits, he’s a big time athlete who can play above the rim in transition and when he gets downhill and he’s a good rebounder for his position too.
22) Adam Perdue Adam Perdue 6'4" | SG Broad Run | 2026 State VA | 6’4” SG | Broad Run (#58 Overall)
Perdue has already proven to be one of the best up and coming players in Loudoun County, and he’s coming off a great sophomore season where he was a First Team All Region selection. He’s a dead eye shooter from deep who works well off the ball to get open, he has great confidence and toughness to his game and he can create shots from multiple levels too.
21) Cole Perez Cole Perez 6'2" | SG Paul VI | 2026 State VA | 6’2” SG | Paul VI (#57 Overall)
Perez may not be on a ton of radars now since he plays behind some of the best player in the country on one of the best teams in the country, but this summer with Team AKT he’s been showing he’s very talented as well. He’s a talented shot maker who works well to get open and sets his feet quickly, he attacks closeouts and gets to his spots and he has a high IQ and makes the right plays consistently.
20) Jisiah Bryant | 6’5” SF | Liberty Christian Academy (#52 Overall)
Bryant is an emerging prospect in the Lynchburg area who may shoot up this list when we get to evaluate him more, as he checks a lot of boxes and is having a great summer with Hill City Crash . At 6’5” he has great positional size and is a big time athlete that can play above the rim, he rebounds well and plays with a good motor and he can make shots from multiple levels as well.
19) Lukas Buinevicius Lukas Buinevicius 6'5" | SF Virginia Episcopal | 2026 State VA | 6’5” SF | VES (#46 Overall)
Another prospect out of the Lynchburg area, Buinevicius has been one of the most productive players in the state over the last two years at VES. The 6’5” wing is an aggressive downhill attacker who can play through contact and finishes well in traffic, he can rebound and start the break where he can make plays for others and he can knock down open shots as well.
18) William Robinson William Robinson 6'5" | SF Westfield | 2026 State VA | 6’5” | SF | Westfield (#43 Overall)
Robinson is part of a Westfield group that is absolutely loaded in the 2026 class, and he’s got tons of upside as he continues to improve his game. He has great size on the perimeter and is a good athlete who attacks the rim aggressively, he can knock down shots from deep at a high clip and he has shown flashes of being a lock down defender as well.
17) Jake Bahr Jake Bahr 6'4" | SG Bishop Ireton | 2026 State VA | 6’4” SG | Bishop Ireton (#39 Overall)
Bahr may have come in too low on this group and I’ll take the responsibility if he proves us wrong, as he’s got a chance to really put his name out there at the DMV Live next weekend. The 6’4” two guard fits what you’d expect as he has good size on the perimeter, he’s a very good shooter from deep who can make shots on the move and he has an excellent midrange game as well.
16) Mathias Lee Mathias Lee 6'6" | SF Westfield | 2026 State VA | 6’6” SF | Westfield (#38 Overall)
Lee is another part of the loaded Westfield group in the 2026 class, and he has a ton of potential and he continues to show improvement every time we see him. He’s got great size and is a good athlete who thrives in transition, he attacks the offensive glass for extra opportunities, he’s a good defender and he plays with a high motor on both ends.
