Dozens of players from around the state have made a major impact with their grassroots teams this spring and elevated their stocks as prospects. In this article, we take a look at six players who have helped themselves, but there are plenty of others who could've been mentioned here.

SG [player_tooltip player_id='2309944' first='Josiah' last='Harrington'] | North Scott | Meanstreets

There's a pretty strong argument to be made that Harrington is the best long-term prospect in the state, regardless of class. The silky smooth, lanky sharpshooting wing has already picked up a pair of offers from Northern Illinois, and recently a Power 5 offer from Illinois, with his strong play with Nike Meanstreets garnering him a lot of attention. His calm demeanor, ability to defend multiple positions, and his pure stroke off both the dribble and the catch will make him a player who continues to draw a ton of interest from college coaches. It's hard to say that a player ranked #1 in a class is a stock riser, but Harrington qualifies with the offers starting to roll in so early on in his recruitment.

PG [player_tooltip player_id='2118611' first='Jerimiah' last='Washpun'] | Liberty | [program_tooltip program_id='2246861' first='Iowa' last='Barnstormers']

Washpun has been clutch throughout the spring for the Barnstormers, pairing with [player_tooltip player_id='2297904' first='Gage' last='Chance'] to give them a dynamic pair of playmakers in the backcourt. He's a tough shotmaker who shoots it extremely well off the dribble, and his combination of speed, handles, and footwork allow him to gain separation. He sees the floor well and is a talented passer as well.

SG [player_tooltip player_id='2265812' first='Fami' last='Yusuf'] | Sioux City East | Team Warwick

Yusuf is one of the best long-term prospects in the state, regardless of class. A fantastic athlete with great length on the perimeter, he has been played up at the 17U level occasionally and held his own. He can score from all three levels, showing a smooth stroke both off the dribble and the catch, and he's a terror in the open court who looks to dunk everything. He plays with pace, changing speeds well, and is a really good on-ball defender when he's locked in.

SF [player_tooltip player_id='2419749' first='Evan' last='Abbott'] | Centennial | [program_tooltip program_id='2270834' first='Iowa' last='United']

A talented three-level scorer who is capable of dropping 25 in any given game, Abbott can put the ball on the floor and create shots for himself and his teammates, absorbing contact around the rim and finishing through it. He's a skilled shooter off the catch who moves well without the ball, and with his length, he can create some chaos on the defensive end. He has shown a willingness throughout the spring to take smaller defenders onto the block and go to work as well.

SG [player_tooltip player_id='2297904' first='Gage' last='Chance'] | Albia | [program_tooltip program_id='2246861' first='Iowa' last='Barnstormers']

As we mentioned with Washpun, Chance is another player in the Barnstormers 15U backcourt having a really strong start to the AAU season. He's an intriguing prospect with his blend of size (6-4), length, and ability to create plays off the dribble. He's a good athlete with the strength to bang against some bigger bodies on the defensive end, and the length and lateral quickness to hold his own on the perimeter.

PG [player_tooltip player_id='2114707' first='Karson' last='Rains'] | Linn-Mar | [program_tooltip program_id='2075572' first='Iowa' last='Prep']

Rains is small, listed at 5-9, but he's a crafty three-level scorer who has had some huge scoring games for [program_tooltip program_id='2075572' first='Iowa' last='Prep'] throughout the spring. He has shown the ability to create plays off the bounce for his teammates, but he's also a talented shotmaker off the catch who moves well without the ball in his hands and has a quick release off the catch. He has provided instant offense throughout the spring and is also a solid on-ball defender with his lateral quickness.
