It's not so much the numbers that [player_tooltip player_id='2934540' first='Drake' last='Elliott'] has put up this season, it's more so how important they've been, coming from a freshman. The only first-year player in Class 2A to be averaging double figures, Elliott has moved up from eighth grade and fit right in with the Trojans, averaging 10.8 points per game (PPG) and adding a much-needed scorer to their lineup alongside [player_tooltip player_id='2419699' first='Braylon' last='Bingham'].

With 11 games and two starts under his belt, the 5-foot-8 guard has had a solid, important start to his high school basketball career. In addition to his scoring, Elliott is averaging 3.6 rebounds per game, putting up an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.3 and shooting 35-of-88 (39.8%) from three.

Moving from an off-the-bench piece to full time starter and leading scorer, [player_tooltip player_id='2729418' first='Jackson' last='Joerger'] has made the jump from "a guy" to "the guy" for Denver.

Averaging nine points and 3.5 rebounds per game as a junior, Joerger was an important part of what the Cyclones wanted to do. Now putting up 17.4 PPG and 7.7 rebounds, Joerger is a near double-double machine, standing at just 6-foot-2. A multi-sport star that has begun to show off more of his athleticism, he's also become a more efficient shooter in year four. Moving from shooting just over 50% from the field and 29.7% from three, to 56.3 percent from the field and 41% from deep, the bouncy wing is attacking defenses in a variety of ways.

Last season, [player_tooltip player_id='2853853' first='Coy' last='Moline'] served in a reserve role, starting in four games and averaging just 7.1 points and 3.3 rebounds for Manson Northwest Webster.

He has since more than doubled his scoring output, becoming the focal point of the Cougar offense. Averaging 19.4 points and 8.5 rebounds at 6-foot-3. Moline does a little bit of everything for MNW, adding 2.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest.

Fresh off a one-point win over Joerger and Denver on Tuesday, [player_tooltip player_id='2772327' first='Tade' last='Roberts'] has elevated to stardom for Hudson as a sophomore. Impactful as a freshman last season for the Pirates, once could predict the then 6-foot-5 freshman would breakout as a sophomore, as he put up 10.8 points, 7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks, but the 6-foot-6 forward has become a problem for small town northeast Iowa squads.

Averaging 19.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.5 blocks this season for Hudson, Roberts has ascended to being one fo the top prospects in his area, using his height effectively against opponents.

The only senior on this list, [player_tooltip player_id='1943626' first='Sawyer' last='Spence'] is one of few in the class to make a significant jump from third to fourth year in high school. A part of the rotation last season for Union Community coming off the bench in all 27 games, Spence averaged just 6.5 points, 2.5 rebound and 1.1 steals last season.

So far this year, Spence is not only a starter for the Knights, but he's one of the most efficient players in the class, posting a assist-to-turnover ration of 3.5. Also averaging 8.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, Spence has become a critical piece in Union's one-loss season so far.
