Spring Standouts
Boche Knight Boche Knight 5'6" | PG West Central | 2027 State SD (2027) |5’6 G| TEAM Warwick 15U Knight/West Central
WHY?
Boche is a creative guard who uses his speed and quickness to get to the rim. He is improving his ability to finish over longer defenders. Knight causes a lot of disruption while guarding the ball. He does a great job of creating for his teammates and at getting the ball to his guys in advantageous spots.
Brant Wassenaar Brant Wassenaar 6'4" | SG Sioux Falls Christian | 2027 State SD (2027) |6’4 G| TEAM Warwick 15U Warner/Sioux Falls Christian
WHY?
He could be one the fastest 6’4″ players in the Midwest. Brant’s ability to push the tempo and play at a fast pace makes guarding this team very difficult. He can score from anywhere. Wassenaar gets layups, post-ups, pull-ups or 3s. Most of the time the defense has to just hope he misses. Brant is the best playmaker on this team. He has done good work seeing open teammates and getting them the rock for easy shots. Brant is another guy who can defend 1-5. With Brant and Fami together they are almost impossible to guard with their handles, size, and speed. When this Warwick squad has Fami, Gibby, and Brant they are undefeated and have beaten some of the top teams in the Midwest.
Britton Mulder Britton Mulder 6'2" | SG Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD (2025) |6’2 G| TEAM Warwick 17U Kvaale/Sioux Falls Christian
WHY?
He is an excellent 3-point shooter but can also score at all levels. Mulder is great at finishing with both hands around the rim. He is recovering from a hip injury, so he is still getting lateral quickness back and getting better on defense. Britton has been under the radar because of the injury but you should not sleep on this baller. As long as his hip keeps getting stronger and going in the right direction, Mulder is sure to make some noise.
Carson Nickles Carson Nickles 6'1" | SG Sioux Falls Christian | 2026 State SD (2026) |6’1 G| TEAM Warwick 16U Buus/Sioux Falls Christian
WHY?
A red-hot lefty shooter who spreads the floor and can change the game from beyond the arc. Nickles is another guy who can guard and is a talented marksman. Carson handles the ball well, just not very physical at this point, that will come. Nickles is a great teammate and a high hoops IQ player.
Cooper Goodbary Cooper Goodbary 6'3" | SG Sioux Falls Christian | 2026 State SD (2026) |6’3 G| TEAM Warwick 16U Buus/Sioux Falls Christian
WHY?
Another lefty Charger who can shoot the 3 & also score around the hoop. Cooper’s length makes him an extremely tough match for opponents. His length enables him to finish in traffic at the rim. He shoots the ball very well which stretches the defense for his perimeter teammates. Goodbary is a perfect 3-guard for this AAU team and has proved himself by making positive plays all over the floor. As Cooper gets a little stronger and more physical, he will be a sought-after player at the next level.
Cooper Strande Cooper Strande 6'0" | CG Sioux Falls Christian | 2028 SD (2028) |6’0 G| TEAM Warwick 14U Warwick/Sioux Falls Christian
WHY?
Cooper is playing at grade level this year which has proven to be a great move for him! Strande has been terrific on both ends, but has shined on D and has set the tone defensively for his team! He has guarded the other team’s best player in every game. Cooper is a great leader and competes at a high level! Strande has a complete game, can score at all three levels and his ability to pass the ball makes all his teammates around him better!
Fami Yusuf Fami Yusuf 6'3" | SG Sioux City East | 2027 State IA (2027) |6’4 G| TEAM Warwick 15U Warner/Sioux City East
WHY?
Yusuf has been unbelievable at creating his own shot and locking up other team’s top wings and guards. He can score at the rim or from 3. With his size at 6’4″ and ability to handle the ball he is a match-up nightmare. Fami has forced teams to send doubles which opens up other guys. He is still learning to become more of a complete PG but he will only get better. He is still just 14 years old and won’t turn 15 till late June. Fami can guard 1-4 on defense, he can even guard 5s if needed. When this Warwick squad has Fami, Gibby, and Brant they are undefeated and have beaten some of the top teams in the Midwest.
Gibby Williams (2027) |6’2 G| TEAM Warwick 15U Warner/Thunder Basin (WY)
WHY?
He has been one of the best shooters that coach Warner has seen. Gibby has a very quick shot and can shoot from anywhere on the floor. He has great size for a 6’2″ guard and has long arms. Gibby has had to step up and guard other team’s PG’s & top guards. His ability to attack the basket after hard closeouts to either get to the rim or shoot pull jumpers makes him very hard to stop because if you give him room he is knocking it down from 3. Williams is another one who has been a good playmaker for Warwick, he does good work getting others easy shots. When this Warwick squad has Fami, Gibby, and Brant they are undefeated and have beaten some of the top teams in the Midwest.
Griffen Goodbary Griffen Goodbary 6'10" | PF Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD (2025) |6’10 F| TEAM Warwick 17U Kvaale/Sioux Falls Christian
WHY?
Goodbarry has great length at 6’10”. He is a versatile BIG who can do it all. Griffen can score around the rim, shoot the turnaround J, drill the mid-range shot, and is a very good 3-point shooter. He can also put the ball on the floor and he knocks down his free throws. Griffen can change the game with his length on defense and clean of the glass. Jang Ruei Jang Ruei IA (2025) |6’6 F| TEAM Warwick 17U Kvaale/Sioux City East
WHY?
This Iowa kid is an extremely athletic 3/4 who makes his presence felt any time he is on the court. Jang will dunk anything close to the hoop, he gets to the rim quickly. Ruei is a dynamic shot blocker. His shot is continuing to develop and is becoming more consistent. He is a trusted 3-point shooter. Jang defends well and has a very high ceiling. He is certainly a player to watch!
Sully Felberg Sully Felberg 6'6" | SF Clark/Willow Lake | 2028 SD (2028) |6’6 F| TEAM Warwick 14U Warwick/Clark-Willow Lake
WHY?
Felberg is a 6’6″ athlete who can really shoot the 3-ball! His game continues to expand as he is getting better defensively and his rebounding is upgraded with each passing tournament. Sully is a great teammate and truly has unlimited potential! He has a skill set that will transfer to allow him to play at a high level!
Tate Gerdes Tate Gerdes 6'3" | PG Lennox | 2026 State SD (2026) |6’3 G| TEAM Warwick 16U Buus/Lennox
WHY?
Tate is an extremely talented lead guard! His strength and physicality allow him to finish at the rim very effectively and ball pressure does not affect him. He sees the floor extremely well and makes great decisions. His ability to make teams pay for pressuring full court no doubt open things up for his teammates. Gerdes is one of the best all-around G’s that coach Buus has coached in AAU. Tate defends well and as he becomes a more consistent shooter he will be a guy who can make a big impact at the next level.
Teelan Kjerstad Teelan Kjerstad 6'0" | CG Wall | 2027 State SD (2027) |5’11 G| TEAM Warwick 15U Knight/Wall
WHY?
Teelan has shot it very well this spring. He gets downhill against long closeouts and makes things happen. Kjerstad is an underrated defender who can guard positions 1 through 3. Teelan uses screens well and finds ways to create space to get in-rhythm shots off. Expect the young Eagle to shoot it hot all summer.
