Elite ballhandling skills and first step off catch. Cooper was almost automatic on catch and shoot opportunities. Even against some of the best cooper had little to no issues getting to basket for points or creating for teammates. In 1vs1 drills he shined as several times he scored 3 or 4 times in a row on pull-up jumpers/fadeaways or just going right by his defender before being stopped. Defensively he had super quick feet and hands along with great anticipation beating his defender to the spot. His court vision overall was also very good.

Cooper Strande Cooper Strande 6'1" | PG Sioux Falls Christian | 2028 State SD is a player who consistently passes the eye test every time you see him live. He played a role this past high school season on a loaded SFC Charger squad that won 22 games and finished as State runner-up, gaining valuable experience in a winning environment. A hardworking athlete, Strande brings a strong mix of slashing ability and court vision, making him an effective playmaker with the ball in his hands. Cooper has the tools to develop into one of the elite SD guards. He competes, makes winning plays, and understands his role, all while showing flashes of more. As the club season picks up steam, keep eyes on Strande.

The play-caller for the Chargers is off to a rockstar start. SFC is 5-0 and ranked #1 in 11A. This past Friday, Cooper completed 9 passes for 155 yards and 2 TD’s. He also ran for nearly 40 yards. In hoops, Strande is also a stud. I am not sure what role he will play this winter as SFC is absolutely loaded with talent. Either way, Cooper is a skilled, smart, athletic, and all-around playmaker.

PHD admires the way Strande plays the game. He passes the “eye test” with his length, poise, and skill, showcasing a mature game well beyond his years and that undeniable “it factor.” Strande is the kind of player who can create offense, facilitate, and manage the game, yet when needed, he can also score from all three levels—and make it look smooth doing so. Add in his toughness on the defensive end, and it’s clear Strande is a real-deal ball player with the complete package.

Cooper brings a high level of skill to the PG position. Great handles and floor control that can also fill up the stat sheet.
