I haven’t seen him live since last summer, so I’m excited to see how his game has evolved. He also gained valuable experience this winter as a role player on a State Championship team. With his combination of size, shooting, and added experience, Ellwein has the tools to take a step forward and make an impact this weekend.

Long 6’5 athletic player with good handles. Has a smooth shooting stroke from anywhere on the floor. Uses his length on defense to his advantage/has good anticipation on off ball passes. Plays with confidence on the offensive end of the floor. Like his court vision, at 6’5 hes able to look over most of his defenders to find open cutters and teammates. Very fluid player in transition, has a nice feel for the game.

Myles Ellwein Myles Ellwein 6'6" | SG Huron | 2028 State SD is shaping up to be a breakout candidate for the Huron Tigers. After putting in serious time in the gym, Ellwein has developed into a more complete offensive player. Known for his ability to fill it up from deep, he’s added new finishing moves around the rim to keep defenses guessing. Myles has also grown about four inches since last year, and that added size — paired with his skill growth — makes him an exciting player to watch heading into the season. With strong basketball bloodlines and the chance to share the floor with his older brother, Blake, expect Ellwein to play with confidence and make a real impact for the Tigers this winter.

Ellwein is a true difference-maker because of his shooting, already establishing himself as one of the premier marksmen in the Class of 2028. While his perimeter game is his calling card, he also shows the ability to share the ball and create scoring opportunities for his teammates. The young guard has the potential to earn a starting role this winter and contribute as a double-digit scorer. With his skill set and confidence, it will be exciting to watch Myles and his big brother Blake, on the floor together, forming a dangerous duo.

Myles is absolutely an elite shooter. His range is unreal and his shot touch is soft. Ellwein does a great job of moving around the perimeter to find that kick out pass for an easy set shot.
