Elite in every way possible, when hes on the court he does everything and does it very well/makes the game look easy. Plays above the rim on a regular basis but can also nock down deep threes at a consistent clip to. First quick step rivals the best smaller guards in the state with the ability to finish at the rim in style and with either hand. True three level scorer, mismatch vs anyone who guards him.

Yup as good as advertised scored 18 points and did it in every which way! Showed deep range on both his three’s, had one of the nicest pull-up 17 foot jump shots ive seen all season with the defender in his face nothing but net 🔥! Footwork off the bounce in the paint playing off of two feet was text book, scoring that way as well. Super athlete and takes no plays off on the defensive end of the floor.

Brant’s development in becoming one of the top prospects in the Midwest with a group of niches to their profile of positional length, fluidity, shiftiness, and playmaking passing is one of the more fascinating stories. It seems like one of things that he himself didn’t predict. I think many had an envisionment that Brant would be a dominant scorer that would continually be playing above the rim. Don’t confuse the just-said statement, Brant is one of best dunkers in South Dakota. But he wisely gets the ball on the glass quickly with an instant swish-finish, rather the slower-developing and contact inviting wind-up dunk. I think he’s limiting his risk for injury. You hardly ever see Brant take a hard fall to the ground.

Wassenaar is somehow flying under the radar, in terms of bringing in big offers. I think that changes after the MBCA Showcase.

Brant was the headliner of the camp, as the top 2027 prospect in the state. He was getting some extra defensive-help bodies swayed in his direction to keep him from completely blowing by his matchup. If he gained a small step, you saw a couple help defenders step in. So Brant then decided to show off his elite vision and distributing as well. With Brant’s complete skillset, he’s impossible to completely take out of a game. If you focus on one thing, he’ll counter that with his deep bag.
