Teelan is a very well rounded prospect that can play in either of the guard spots for a team. He has an elite offensive skillset, being able to score and facilitate at a high level. He is a knockdown shooter on the perimeter, hitting on looks off the catch and creating for himself off the dribble. Kjerstad is very smart and is a good passer, giving it his all on both ends of the floor whenever he is out there.

Dominated in the 1vs1 drills with his explosive first step and creative finishes. Showed exceptional court vision and timely passes in transition in the 5vs5 segments of the camp. Ballhandling skills were secomd to none, had great speed and acceleration with the ball in his hands. As good as he was on offense hos defense was just a good creating steals and easy transition baskets with his quick hands and feet. Much tougher then I had anticipated with tough finishes in traffic at the hoop vs b8gger guys.

Teelan is a player to watch after establishing himself as an All-State standout in South Dakota and carrying that momentum into the spring. A true playmaker, he brings a high motor and a sharp, well-rounded skill set that shows up on both ends of the floor. Kjerstad plays with a toughness that stands out, competing every possession and impacting the game in multiple ways. Offensively, he can create, score, and make plays for others, while defensively, he brings energy and physicality. There’s an edge and confidence to how he plays that you can’t ignore. The more I watch him, the more impressed I become. Kjerstad is putting together an outstanding season, and the Wall Eagles are firmly in the conversation as one of the top teams in Class B. Teelan consistently scores in the mid 20s and even erupted for 42 points in a single game, showing just how explosive he can be. He is a quick, twitchy athlete with a tight handle and the ability to create space whenever he needs it. Teelan’s shooting range extends well beyond the arc, he is dangerous in the pull-up game, and he attacks the rim as a dynamic slasher and finisher. Simply put, he is a MAJOR problem for opposing defenses. Basketball fans across South Dakota should make it a point to catch Teelan and the Eagles in action this season.
