In the debut of the 2028 rankings, Carlbom was very raw and in the early stages of offensive development. I watched him recently with Wall’s JV team, and he seems to be coming along. He hasn’t made massive progress with his ball skills, but his coordination in his movement looks improved. He’s also looking quicker laterally, and his ability to get up and jump looks quicker and can reach a higher point. Great upside with his lengthy arms and athletic profile. TEAM Warwick also sees a boatload of potential in him, because Chase will be playing up a year on their 16U-2 roster.

Carlbom offers upside with his length and experience at the high school level. He’s getting moved along, being a JV player already as an eighth-grader. I think he’s a little raw, but if he can put together some skill with serious length, then he gets people talking.

Carlbom is an up-and-comer that has some potential and upside given his lengthy 6’3” frame with movement and jumping ability. He’s raw and has a ways to go, but he’s also only going to be a Freshman. Depending on how he grows physically and with his skill set, he could become a long wing or an athletic 4-man that can use length and vertical in the paint on both ends.
