The #1 ranked 2025 prospect in South Dakota went out in a big way. Goodbary saved his best performance for last, in his most important game of his high school career; Senior year championship game for all the marbles. He was dominant in the state championship win, scoring 32 points and snagging 15 rebounds. The two-time South Dakota Gatorade Player Of The Year is signed with South Dakota State University, who’s now in search of a new Head Coach, as the former is now leading Drake University.

WHY?
He had an epic high school season, if you follow SD hoops, you know all about that! Goodbary recently picked up a D1 offer from Northeastern. His skill level and shooting ability at 6’10 is wildly impressive and I think his game will continue to upgrade in the near future. Goodbary had a quality summer while also getting a good amount of attention from college coaches. I imagine there are a ton of college coaches intrigued with his game. Will he win Gatorade Player of the Year back to back?

The ceiling with Griffen his high, as you don’t often see players at 6’10 who can move and shoot the ball like he can. Against Minnesota Fury he scored the ball at all three levels, stretching the floor for a handful of threes, hitting a tough turnaround jumper from mid-range, and finishing off a few looks inside. Showed the strength to finish off a couple of looks while being fouled, and also got up for a two handed dunk to start the game. Griffen has enough mobility to move his feet when switched out on the perimeter, while being quick enough off the floor to make an impact as a shot blocker.
