This will be our second look at some players that got hot last weekend.
Garcia was very impressive with REAL 16u at the Prep Hoops Circuit’s Havoc In The Heartland. I’ve really liked his game since he stepped into high school and it’s continued to grow. Garcia has always been a fast player that can push in transition with the dribble and the pass. He showed off his jumper this weekend. Garcia was able to connect on the catch and on the move.
James continues to prove himself and he did it in Texas this time. When James gets on a heater, he’s a game changer. He was just that this past weekend. James once again grooved his jumper and showed why he should be considered one of the top pure shooters in Michigan. He had at least 2 games in Texas that he dropped over 20 points in.

Gugle was a difference maker at Havoc In The Heartland. He was on sort of an all-around heater, showing off a diverse skill set. Gugle is an athletic playmaker and it showed over the weekend. He was able to get downhill and create buckets both in transition and half court sets. Gugle was equally as impressive defensively where he challenged shots and even sent some back.

Welcome to the board Tyler VanDerMeulen. That’s what happens when you throw on a Strictly Skills jersey and catch a heater. He can flat out fill it up from beyond the arc. VanDerMeulen went 4-6 from behind the arc…in the first half! He finished the game with 7 total triples in a hard fought defeat.
Champagne was doing Champagne things this weekend with North Oakland Wolfpack . He attacks grassroots season and had another great weekend. He was once again a very high percentage shooter and walked away averaging 14 points per game. Champagne also showed the ability to see the floor and find teammates in scoring position. He did this to the tune of a 5 assist per game average.
