Continuing to raise his profile each weekend, Kayser got a lot of attention after a strong performance at the Bill Hensley Run N Slam and has become a priority for regional Division II programs. After a strong weekend at the MHC live period in DC, Kayser has added low major Division I interest. A versatile forward who loves to knock down shots from the mid-range, has the explosiveness to throw down alley-oops and finish through contact, Kayser has been a consistent scorer against top competition. Expanding his range to beyond the 3-point arc has been key for Kayser who will need to be able to stretch the floor when necessary at the college level. A name to know from southeast Ohio’s 2025 class.

The Minford duo has been inseparable together as the Kayser-Montgomery duo have elevated the Falcons program and have attended visits to regional scholarship programs together. An undersized point guard, Montgomery competes on the defensive end of the court and doesn’t let his size stop him from being a pest. Love the competitiveness Montgomery plays with and how he just helps you win at the high school and grassroots level. A point guard who will defend the length of the court, push in transition and make perimeter shots when left open, Montgomery checks a lot of boxes that college coaches look for in a floor general.

Making the move to the Ohio Buckets has helped boost Henlon’s stock as the lightning quick point guard has had some big games on the EYCL circuit. Holding an early offer from Ashland, Henlon’s play has continued to improve year over year. I caught Henlon once with Sandusky in the winter and was impressed with his downhill slashing ability. One of the top players in all of the SBC last season, Henlon will look to continue to elevate the Blue Streaks program that has gone 22-2 and 24-2 the past two seasons. I think Henlon would be an excellent fit at a scholarship program that wants to play fast and potentially full court press similar to how Sandusky plays defensively.

The last prospect to feature in this article is another point guard, this time from the 330. Louisville has elevated its status as a program thanks to players like Siegfried. A floor general who wants to get teammates involved first, Siegfried plays like the coaches son that he is on the court. I also like the defensive ability of Siegfried, taking pride in that end of the court with an improving frame to handle college physicality when the time comes. The Gurus of Go are a program that has seen a majority of their roster remain the same over the years and that’s allowed them to build excellent chemistry. Regional scholarship programs should take a look at Siegfried and a couple other members of the Gurus of Go squad that’s had a strong spring and will look to carry their momentum into July.
