One of the top guards in the Midwest, Robinson has stayed loyal to George Hill All Indy and the national publicity plus high major offers have followed. Really impressed with his first step and ability to create on the ball. A point guard who also hit shots off the catch, Robinson hit a couple set shots off designed plays for him to get an open look running off the ball. If Robinson can continue to be a threat without the ball and put pressure on the defense with his shooting ability, he’ll become more of a threat as a floor spacer as well. Combine that with a high motor that forced a couple turnovers that led to easy transition points, Robinson ended a showcase game against Phenom United with production as a scorer, distributor and defender. One of the top independent circuit players in the country and an easy high major talent, I was very impressed with what Robinson showed me on Friday night.
One of the top forwards in the 2025 class nationally, Bundalo had a huge game against PSA Cardinals in a low scoring affair. Bundalo is one of the top competitors in the 2025 class nationally and showed exactly why on Saturday afternoon. With multiple trail 3-pointers, tip dunks and attacks off the bounce, Bundalo was scoring it in a variety of ways. Such a unique offensive talent for a guy his size, the ability to shoot, attack a closeout and play above the rim is rare for a guy his size and it’s why he’s regarded as a top 35 player in the country.
A player who impresses basically every time I watch him play, Gutman is maybe the biggest sleeper in Kentucky. A skilled wing forward who can really shoot it, attack off the bounce and has improved athletically, Gutman checks a lot of boxes for Division I programs. The creation ability of Gutman off the bounce pops when you watch him, he had some impressive dribble moves to get to his spots either for a pull-up jumper or to the paint. His athleticism has also improved since my last scout in the winter, Gutman had a putback slam dunk that gave his team a boost of momentum. I expect Gutman’s recruitment to spike in May and June when more Division I and II programs go watch Moss Elite and Walton Verona.
Highlights
One of the elite shooters in the Midwest, Kwasniak was making it rain for Another Level Black this weekend. Getting some signature wins in the process, Kwasniak was making shots from all over the court. While the shooting is what creates the headlines, I thought Kwasniak showed good hustle as well in the game I saw. He forced a couple turnovers and even dove on the floor for a loose ball. Continuing to do these things will be crucial for Kwasniak to continue to impact the game outside of spacing the floor. Good weekend all around for Another Level Black, losing by three in the sweet 16 of the Platinum Bracket.
The Gurus of Go had a nice run in the platinum bracket as well and despite a loss to New York Lightning EYBL in bracket play, Gross impressed big time in this game. Showing his ability to score over taller defenders at the rim, Gross used a variety of moves to create space to shoot. Whether it was a pump fake after catching it in the dunker spot, a spin move in the post or a slip from a pick and roll set, Gross was getting what he wanted early on in the game. One of the top Division II priorities in Ohio’s 2025 class, expect a lot of regional programs to continue to follow the Gurus of Go and recruit Gross plus a handful of his teammates for the Division II, III and NAIA level.
