Midwest Live: Saturday 2028-29 Standouts

There was a stretch in the game where Richardson had back-to-back assists and set up another couple open shots for his teammates as his quickness allowed for open looks. Filia was cooking early with a couple sweet reverse layups and floaters. One of the more talented guards in central Ohio, Filia can make it look really easy as a scorer. Showing his toughness, Filia took a shot to his mouth and quickly returned to the game after getting checked up on the sidelines. Those coaches didn't lie as Moore Jr impressed as an athletic wing who made a defensive impact and thrived in transition. The one thing Moore Jr didn't do on Saturday was make shots from the outside and I'd heard from others who have seen him that he usually makes shots and his form and confidences suggests he's a shot-maker. Jones was knocking down shots from 3-point range at a high clip and was knocking them down off the catch in the corner, off pull-up looks and off DHO's. Jones also made a defensive impact with quick hands and heads up plays on that end of the court. The highlight of the game I saw with Jones was a putback dunk off a teammates miss. Badenhop is an elite perimeter shooter who wants to pull-up in your face with no regard for a shot-contest. As Badenhop continues to fill out his frame he will be even tougher to stop on drives as he already has the wiggle to get by his primary defender right now.
