Scott is a two-way point guard prospect to get eyes on out of Charlotte Country Day School. He knows how to set quite the tone with his play on defense already with his ability to pressure the basketball. Offensively, he’s got good instincts shooting and scoring the basketball. He’s got a bright future ahead of him after playing alongside Amare Bethel Amare Bethel 6’3″ | PG Charlotte Country Day School | 2024 State NC in his varsity debut. He’ll suit up with Team Unleashed South Carolina (TeamUSC) this grassroots cycle.
Highlights
Phillips is an intriguing combo guard prospect to keep an eye on in the 2027 class. He’s a prospect to keep an eye on this grassroots season with Team United after producing in a big way at Huss on the NCHSAA scene. He produced 12.5 PPG, 4.8 APG, 4.5 RPG and 3.1 SPG in his varsity debut with the Huskies in 2023-24. He’s got a bright future ahead of him as a lead guard in the backcourt.
Highlights
Emerson is an intriguing guard/wing with tremendous athleticism out of Greensboro Day School to keep eyes on in the 2027 class. He was a regular in the starting lineup by season’s end in 2023-24 for the Bengals given his ability to defend multiple roles, rebound the ball and get to the painted area. He’ll be a name to keep eyes on with Rising Pros Training this grassroots cycle.
Highlights
Wolf is a sizeable name to get to know in the 2027 class out of Cape Fear Academy. He’s a 6-foot-7 big man who put up 7.2 PPG and 3.9 RPG in his varsity debut for the Eagles this past season. He’s got good mobility and instincts already in the painted area after shooting 53 percent from the floor as a freshman. He’ll be one to keep an eye on with Grassroots North Carolina this spring/summer.
Highlights
Pulley is a point guard prospect with a bright future ahead of him after starring for Sanderson in 2023-24. He came on strong towards the second-half of the season while averaging 5.5 PPG, 1.8 RPG and 1.5 APG in his varsity debut. He’ll look to continue showing strides in the backcourt with Team Wall on the grassroots stage this spring/summer.
Highlights
Wright-Mcgee had himself a productive varsity debut with New Hanover as they made it all the way to the NCHSAA 4A State Championship game. He’s an athletic combo guard who’s just scratching the surface of what he can do on both ends of the floor given his length and athleticism. He put up 3.3 PPG, 2.1 RPG and 1.0 SPG in 2023-24.
Woodard is a big guard prospect to keep track of in the 2027 class out of East Wake. He’s got a strong frame already he’s learning to utilize as a downhill presence with the ball in his hands. He filled up the stat sheet in a variety of ways for the Warriors as they went 23-6 on the year, averaging 11.9 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 1.3 SPG, 1.0 BPG and 1.0 APG in his debut on the varsity scene. He’ll be a name to watch with WCBA on the grassroots scene.
Highlights
Herring is an up-and-coming prospect to get to know out of Kinston High. He’s an athletic guard prospect who’s shown he can defend at a high level and make things happen off the bounce offensively. He’ll be a name to watch with 7th Nation Warriors on the grassroots scene after making his debut on varsity on the NCHSAA scene this past fall.
Greene is another sizeable name to get to know in the 2027 class out of Southern Nash. He put up 2.5 PPG and 2.6 RPG on the varsity stage with the Firebirds but he’s already hit the ground running on the grassroots stage with Team Trezz . He’s beginning to show off his mobility and presence in the paint on both ends of the floor.
Hilldale is one of the top shooters in the 2027 class out of Trinity Academy Raleigh to get to know. He’ll suit up with Garner Road on the 3SSB stage as he’ll look to showcase his ability to knock down shots off the bounce and catch from anywhere on the floor. He’s a prospect with a bright future ahead of him in the class.
