The 2026 class is a good one but it has started to be hit by attrition as former #2 Gabe Weis has already left for Montverde and it's expected that another top player will be gone out of state this summer. There are still plenty of talented prospects in the class and it's exceptionally deep in the middle with a lot of players who will play D2/NAIA in college. Here's a look at the best Small Forwards in this rankings update.

Montgomery County's [player_tooltip player_id='1359131' first='Luke' last='Fawns'] is one of the best prospects you'll see at times. Then there are other times he will disappear for stretches. With the potential to play D1 basketball at his size and skill level, I'd like to see Luke get more consistent with his motor because he has all the physical tools and can guard when he wants to.

Southwestern Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1901828' first='Zach' last='Hutchinson'] is a versatile wing who can get to the rim or knock down threes. He possesses some switchability on the defensive end as well. Hutchinson is a player to watch in the wide open 12th region next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1737528' first='Hayden' last='Shouse'] is another wing with serious next level potential. Meade County hasn't been very good lately but it's not for lack of trying by Shouse. He needs to continue improving his three point shooting to be considered a true wing at the collegiate level but Hayden has physical tools and good size to be a 3 at the next level.

LCA has a hidden gem in [player_tooltip player_id='1543596' first='Simon' last='King']. He didn't get to show much this season for a team that was up and down all season long but King has physical tools and skill level to impress coaches when he gets the opportunity. Based on what I've seen in camp settings, Simon is much better than his 4 points and 5 rebounds this past season would indicate.

Covington Catholic is never lacking for talent and [player_tooltip player_id='1558737' first='Donovan' last='Bradshaw'] is a player who could break out this season. Like [player_tooltip player_id='1543596' first='Simon' last='King'], Bradshaw could thrive with more opportunity. At 6'5 and still growing, Donovan has good size and has played with a good motor when I've seen him on the court. He could be an X factor for the Colonels next season.
