I’m going to give you a quick clip about each player that was in attendance for the workout last night led by one of the Midwest Stampede’s staff, Coach Jennings.
Jalen Roberts
Jalen Roberts
Roberts is a player that could put himself on some radars this grassroots season. He has a strong build and some touch around the rim. Everything about Roberts screams great teammate as well.
Calhoun looks like he’s about to have a breakout grassroots season with the Stampede. He’s a bouncy player that can utilize his strength and quickness when attacking the rim off the bounce.
Highlights
Downs returns to the Midwest Stampede and looks ready to roll. His jumper looked good last night and he maintained his toughness and versatility. Coaches will want to take a look at the growth in his game.
Francis is much taller than last season and he’s expanded his game. His defensive intensity was solid and his work on the glass was very much improved. Francis can make a huge statement with those aspects of his game.

Tooson was very impressive last night. Ypsilanti has a skilled guard that they can really build around. He was a positive teammate that utilized his fluid speed with the ball to create opportunities.

Tucker will be playing up with the Midwest Stampede this spring and summer. He’s more than ready for the challenge. Tucker has a solid frame and will be able to handle the physicality. He can stretch the floor with his jumper.
Jayden Justice
Jayden Justice
Justice is another 2028 that will step up a level this summer. He’s ready, as he played JV ball as just an 8th grader. Justice has a pretty jumper and a floor game with tons of upside.
VanWagner is going to make a ton of noise on the Prep Hoops Circuit this season. He has elite strength and power that he can use on the glass and scoring under the rim in traffic.
