He added points and 11 blocks to his stat line as well. VanWagner has become much more comfortable in dominating the paint and extending his game from there.

It’s fun to see how far VanWagner has come over the last calendar year. There’s a new found confidence in himself and in his game that’s allowing for his physical traits and skills to take over. Last year I wanted to see him utilize his strength and size and dominate down low, then play inside-out as his opponents schemed him. He’s doing a lot of that now and it’s paying dividends.
