This past month had a lot of players really play at such a high level. Here is who is our Player of the Month.

Player of the Month

[player_tooltip player_id='2277051' first='Komy' last='Ocwor'] || West Valley APA || 2024 ||

https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3BLdh1qtkB/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

We wanted to give one of the small school prospects some love but Ocwor earned and deserves it. His level of play is high and he has really taken his game to the next level since the start of the season. He can step outside and shoot the ball and that really make shim tricky to guard. He has a long forst step so if the close out is not done well then he will take one step and it does not take many more for him to get to the rim and play above the rim. When he catches the ball on the move he moves well and he has a lot of guard skills. He will be a really good get at the next level. If an NWAC school can pull him they will be able to use him very well as he can play skill wise as a 4 even though he has the height of a 5.

Playoffs

6A

In 6A it seems like Corner Canyon will have a bullseye on their backs once again regardless of their position in the RPI. Lehi is dangerous with [player_tooltip player_id='1057037' first='Cooper' last='Lewis'] and Easton Hwkins on that squad. Big S/O to [player_tooltip player_id='1057037' first='Cooper' last='Lewis'] as he had a heck of a January. Then you shift over to Layton and they have found different ways to win. It looks like Katoa has taken the lead in the sense of big shots late in the game but you can't leave [player_tooltip player_id='1057040' first='Mekhi' last='Martin'] or [player_tooltip player_id='1057041' first='KJ' last='Miller'] any open looks late in the game either. American Fork has not peaked yet and you have a lot of other teams that have been up and down. 6A is going to be wild.

5A

Alta is playing so well and even with [player_tooltip player_id='1057035' first='Ace' last='Reiser'] hurt for 3 quarters one of the best teams in the state could not take them down. [player_tooltip player_id='1278438' first='Dash' last='Reiser'] is a big option to pick up scoring when they need him to. [player_tooltip player_id='1439888' first='Carter' last='Goodfellow'] could be dangerous in the corners when teams decide to help. [player_tooltip player_id='1298532' first='Jaxon' last='Johnson'] can grab and go and play the 1 anytime he wants. This team has dudes. Then you take into account that [player_tooltip player_id='1057047' first='Carter' last='Doleac'] is hitting fadeaway three's, SHEESH! Olympus is getting great play from all of their guys and they have [player_tooltip player_id='1057034' first='Dutch' last='Dowdell'] that is scoring like crazy and [player_tooltip player_id='2284975' first='Reef' last='Smylie'] is playing well late. [player_tooltip player_id='1057020' first='Jordan' last='Barnes'] will find whoever is open. Orem has a team that can beat anyone as they even beat Dixie earlier this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1164726' first='Jax' last='Allen'] and Kai wesley have been doing well and [player_tooltip player_id='1260479' first='Chance' last='Dastrup'] can drop dimes. [player_tooltip player_id='1278450' first='Isaiah' last='Drisdom'] over at Highland is one of the best PG's regardless of class and they have so many dudes that can help them win. 5A could be wild as teams get to the finals.

4A

Dixie is the team to beat and if you do not like that then you have not been paying attention. [player_tooltip player_id='1185179' first='Kyle' last='Lemke'] is too tough. [player_tooltip player_id='1391447' first='Jordan' last='Roberts'] is happy passing the ball to all of his guys and this team has a lot of weapons and they play a solid brand of basketball. Cottonwood has some pieces that could cause problems for anyone. [player_tooltip player_id='2301424' first='Chris' last='Cox'] is playing some care free basketball and [player_tooltip player_id='1146659' first='John' last='Rosevear'] is a tough lead guard. Murray has some weapons and their lack of height is usually a concern but they play some great scramble defense. Logan is a good team and so is Snow Canyon and Crimson Cliffs. There might be one team that makes it one end of the bracket but the other end might be a fight for sure.

Offers/ Commitments (25)

[player_tooltip player_id='2026100' first='John' last='Mobley'] Jr || Ohio State

[player_tooltip player_id='1298532' first='Jaxon' last='Johnson'] || Utah

[player_tooltip player_id='1056969' first='Brody' last='Kozlowski'] || USC

[player_tooltip player_id='1114374' first='Malick' last='Diallo'] || TCU

[player_tooltip player_id='1057044' first='David' last='Katoa'] || Utah

[player_tooltip player_id='1057034' first='Dutch' last='Dowdell'] || Harvard

[player_tooltip player_id='1384536' first='Owen' last='Mackay'] || Utah Tech

[player_tooltip player_id='1115931' first='Hunter' last='Hansen'] || Weber State

[player_tooltip player_id='1057020' first='Jordan' last='Barnes'] || Utah State

[player_tooltip player_id='1128939' first='Hunter' last='Schenck'] || Utah Tech

[player_tooltip player_id='1559781' first='Tanner' last='Davis'] || Utah Tech

[player_tooltip player_id='1057035' first='Ace' last='Reiser'] || CSI

[player_tooltip player_id='1185179' first='Kyle' last='Lemke'] || Snow

[player_tooltip player_id='1391447' first='Jordan' last='Roberts'] || Snow

[player_tooltip player_id='1057041' first='KJ' last='Miller'] || San Marcos

[player_tooltip player_id='1168376' first='Grayson' last='Brousseau'] || Utah State (Football)

[player_tooltip player_id='1115975' first='Asher' last='Young'] || BYU (Football)

[player_tooltip player_id='1538434' first='Blake' last='Rawson'] || CSI

[player_tooltip player_id='1057050' first='Tiger' last='Cuff'] || Weber State

[player_tooltip player_id='1057025' first='Diego' last='Mulford'] || CSI

[player_tooltip player_id='1066745' first='Sefa' last='Brown'] || BYU (Football)

[player_tooltip player_id='1384539' first='Malcom' last='Johnson'] || NAVY (Football)

[player_tooltip player_id='1115950' first='Zach' last='Edwards'] || Oregon State (Baseball)

Makai Peterson || SUU (Football)

[player_tooltip player_id='1115949' first='Kaden' last='Allred'] || SUU (Baseball)

Game Recap

Alta vs. West

Excellent Play
 <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1298532"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"When you see what Johnson can do on both ends it really makes you excited if you are a Utah Utes fan.
