A New York native, Jeffrey very much plays in the same downhill attacking style that most NYCers grow accustomed to. Since joining Mt. Zion he has improved as a decision maker and passer, both necessary if Jeffrey is going to play the point in college. He can get to the rim at will and has no problem finishing through contact. He finished with 27 points in his first game.
Another New York native, Edmead’s move north appears to be paying off. He still can get his shot whenever he wants- as evidenced by opening 3-for-3 from beyond the arc off the dribble on Thursday. He’s grown a bit since leaving Long Island and looks very comfortable leading a talented Williston Northampton group.
Harrell is one of the best scorers in the Northeast. He scored 31 in their game on Friday and did it while playing within the offense. Armed with a smooth jumper and the ability to finish through contact, Harrell also has a knack for getting contact and getting himself to the line.
“Butta” is fairly new to the PSA program but from his play in Providence you could hardly tell. A tough and quick guard with a great first step and quick hands, Williams is the kind of undersized yet skilled lead guard who has historically thrived at Putnam. From the look of things, he appears to be the next.
Jelani Towa
Jelani Towa
Towa came in with a reputation as a shooter and more than backed that up, going for 25 in his first game of the NPSI. While he didn’t play nearly as much in their second game thanks to a large roster, Towa intrigued with the ball in his hands.
