This grouping is of the players who we saw who stand 6”7 and up. With injuries to some of the stud upperclassman Elijah stepped in without missing a beat looking like he belongs. He is an old school back to the basket load on the block. Fundamentally sound. Has a soft touch around the rim and out. Beast on the boards. He displayed the ability to knock down open threes off the catch. Uses his size to get to the rim off of 2 dribbles. Also displayed a pull up jumper off the bounce. Rebounds and defends the paint. Really good using his body to post up. Showed an assortment of shots in the paint. Face up jumper, little turn around fade away. He also finishes with toughness and strength when he gets the defender on his back. Displayed deep range and moves really well without the ball for a taller player finding open areas. Eli is more of a wing width size. Very versatile player on both ends. Gives the coaching staff a lot of options using this special player. Can defend multiple positions, knocks down threes with a nice fluid rhythm. Gets into the lane and has good lift on his pull up jumper. Really likes the jump stop in the lane followed by a little push shot.
