MADE Summer Live S1 Productive Performers

Davids was one of the most physically imposing players I saw during the first three days of the July live period. He finishes everything around the rim with authority, consistently converting through contact and capitalizing from the dunker spot. His sheer size consumes space on the interior, making it extremely difficult for opponents to establish position or find clean driving lanes. Davids controls the paint with his presence and forces teams to adjust their offensive approach whenever he is on the floor. He also stays active on the glass, consistently cleaning up rebounds and creating extra possessions for his team. For a player of his size, he runs the floor well, allowing him to generate easy transition opportunities and keep constant pressure on opposing bigs. With his blend of physicality, interior production, rebounding, and mobility, Davids is a prospect who should continue to gain traction with mid-major division one programs.     Ellis impressed with his two-way versatility throughout the weekend, impacting the game on both ends of the floor. He plays with terrific pace, attacking closeouts aggressively and using his quick first step to get downhill and pressure the defense. Ellis also showed that he is a capable perimeter shooter, confidently knocking down open three-pointers and forcing defenders to respect his outside game. His energy and motor stand out every time he steps on the floor, as he consistently makes hustle plays and keeps possessions alive with his relentless effort. Once Ellis gets into an offensive rhythm, he is extremely difficult to contain, capable of stringing together scoring runs in a hurry. With his blend of athleticism, versatility, shooting ability, and nonstop motor, Ellis is a prospect who should continue to draw division one interest, while high-level division two programs will certainly be hoping he slips through the cracks.     Pelletier impressed with the variety of ways he impacted the game, contributing well beyond the scoring column. He makes a living around the basket, converting high-percentage opportunities in the paint while using his size and strength to finish through contact. Pelletier was relentless on the glass, consistently putting himself in the right position to secure rebounds and create extra possessions for his team. His court vision also stood out, as he did a nice job finding teammates in scoring positions and making the extra pass when the defense collapsed. Defensively, he was active in passing lanes, using his instincts to generate steals and quickly turn defense into offense. His sheer size allows him to absorb contact with ease on both ends of the floor, making him a physical presence who impacts the game in multiple facets.     Lownes is a high-upside forward who is just beginning to scratch the surface of his potential. His rangy frame immediately stands out, allowing him to impact the game as a rim protector while also covering plenty of ground on the glass. He consistently used his length to block shots, alter attempts around the basket, and secure rebounds on both ends of the floor. Offensively, Lownes showed encouraging flashes, displaying touch around the rim and the tools to expand his game as he continues to develop. Adding strength to his frame will be a key part of his progression, as it will help him finish through contact and handle more physical matchups. With his length, athletic tools, and long-term upside, Lownes is a prospect whose best basketball is clearly still ahead of him.     Melniczak impressed with his ability to run a team and consistently create quality scoring opportunities for his teammates. He sees the floor well, makes the right reads, and does a nice job keeping the offense organized. Defensively, he turns stops into offense, using his instincts to generate transition opportunities. Melniczak also proved to be a reliable perimeter shooter, knocking down multiple three-pointers and showing that defenses cannot afford to leave him open. His versatility allows him to be effective both on and off the ball, giving him the flexibility to impact the game in a variety of roles. With his combination of playmaking, shot-making, and two-way versatility, Melniczak is a prospect who is trending as a scholarship-level player.
