Quarterfinals Review:

Marple Newtown defeats Garnet Valley, 69-68 in 2OT

PJ Esposito – 5'11” / 2024 / Marple Newtown / Combo Guard: Esposito hit a slew of early three pointers on his way to 18 points total for the night. He is a crafty ball handler with a high IQ. So, he can also serve as a secondary ball handler. At the other end of the floor, Esposito is an excellent team defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1382984' first='Matt' last='Gardler'] – 5'11” / 2025 / Marple Newtown / [program_tooltip program_id='2078678' first='East' last='Coast Power'] / Shooting Guard: This has quickly become the best week of the Gardler's young basketball life. On Tuesday night he drained a three at the final horn to give Marple a win over Penncrest. Then last night he scored 32 points (4 triples) including the game winning pull-up jumper as time expired. Plus, Gardler cracked the 1,000-point mark on Thursday night. When he is not splashing Js, Gardler is cutting back door for lay-ins through contact. He can also work as a secondary ball handler.

Quinn O'Hara – 5'10” / 2024 / Garnet Valley / PSB Philly / Combo Guard: O'Hara has posted several attention-grabbing games this season, but last night he was smartly working off the red-hot [player_tooltip player_id='1460801' first='Jacob' last='Sniras']. O'Hara can shoot threes, score in transition and is an excellent facilitator. Last night he tallied 11 points. He also dished out four or five smooth assists and had several steals too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1460801' first='Jacob' last='Sniras'] – 6'4” / 2025 / Garnet Valley / All in 333 / Shooting Guard: Sniras brought his scoring touch to the gym last night too. The junior hit shots from everywhere on the floor on his way to 31 points (and 8 rebounds). His pull-up jumper is unstoppable. Sniras can also run as a small forward, scoring on dives to the rim, offensive rebounds, and quick post ups against shorter defenders.

Conestoga defeats Harriton, 47-37

[player_tooltip player_id='2391381' first='Westin' last='Fryberger'] – 6'3” / 2025 / Conestoga / Wing: Fryberger may be the best kept secret on this deep ‘Stoga roster. He has all the tools college coaches love. He can score at every level, is a workhorse on the glass, can distribute, and is a willing defender. In person Fryberger appears taller than his listed height and he certainly plays bigger than it. Fryberger registered a double-double in the win over Harriton - 15 points and 13 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='1990792' first='Marquis' last='Kubish'] – 6'4″ / 2024 / Harriton / Pro Youth / Shooting Guard: Kubish (12 pts & 10 rebs,) is a skilled guard who excels at scoring off the dribble. His crafty handles enable Kubish to get into paint. Once there, his length and solid frame enable him to power up and convert through contact. Kubish will splash the occasional 3-ball too. Kubish was a beast on the glass last night. Last week he poured in 28 points in win over Strath Haven

[player_tooltip player_id='1454262' first='Rowan' last='Miller'] – 5'10” / 2025 / Conestoga / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] Select / Point Guard: Miller is an extraordinarily fast lead guard with tight handles. So, he can go coast to coast in a hurry. In the half-court he can score or facilitate of the dribble. On defense, Miller is a tenacious on-ball presence. Last night he posted 10 points and gave out a handful of assists.

Semifinals Preview:

Marple Newtown at Lower Merion: In addition to the above-mentioned Gardler (20 ppg.) and Esposito, college coaches will want to check out Marple forward [player_tooltip player_id='2631134' first='Ryan' last='Keating'] as well as their point guard Steven Tansey. Keating (12 ppg.) owns a polished mid-range game and is a force on the boards at both ends. Tansey is a quick and elusive floor general style point man. LM's success (21-1; 16-0) has come thanks to a balanced scoring effort from their five perimeter player lineups. Wing [player_tooltip player_id='1850321' first='John' last='Mobley'] (15.6 ppg.) as well as combo guards [player_tooltip player_id='2120393' first='Owen' last='McCabe'] (15 ppg.), Adam Herrenkohl (14.5 ppg.) and [player_tooltip player_id='2699527' first='Carson' last='Kasmer'] (11.5 ppg.) have been destroying opponents all season. The Aces sixth man, [player_tooltip player_id='1123894' first='Jayden' last='Robinson'] (6'4”) is averaging 11 points per contest. Tip-off is at 1:00PM.

Conestoga at Radnor: Conestoga won the regular season matchup between these two teams by four points. Since that loss, Radnor has assembled a 10-1 record. For ‘Stoga (14-8; 11-5), running with Miller and Fryberger will be combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='1750421' first='Benjamin' last='Robinson'] (13 ppg.), shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1615188' first='Brendan' last='Styer'] and small forward [player_tooltip player_id='2224494' first='Cory' last='Hogan']. All three prospects can pop threes and score in the open court. Radnor (18-3; 13-3) has found success behind a bevy of talented 2024s. Point guard Kessler Cox (12.7 ppg.), small forward [player_tooltip player_id='2383175' first='Elijah' last='Sellers'] (11 ppg.), point-forward Henry Pierce and combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='1287326' first='Michael' last='Savadove'] have all made major contributions this season. Senior shooting guards Alex McFadden and Owen Smith have shined too. Junior wing prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1601189' first='Sawyer' last='Smith'] has come on strong of late. Tip-off is at 4:00PM
