Below are the ones that are making an impact with some high-level production. These are the ones that are standing out. Either every single game they are producing, by showing us their hard work, by the way they battle once they cross the lines, maybe by adding a new wrinkle to their skills, or by just believing in themselves a bit more than the day or game before.
Kai Rogers Kai Rogers 6'10" | C Wauwatosa West | 2025 State #41 Nation WI | 6’10” | C | 2025 | Wauwatosa West | Wisconsin Playground Club
Clearly this prospect is solidifying himself as the top player in the state with what he is producing this year. This past week was just an example of what he can do, in that his first game of the week he tallied a triple double of points, rebounds, and blocks. In his second game of the week, he posts 20+ points to go along with a dominant 17 rebounds performance. For a big, he is a dynamic passer and gives us 3.3apg too. But in this category, at least, one would have to follow his progress in his AAU season to gain an understanding of just how good he is with his passing. While talking about his past AAU season, I saw him play a top 2-3 player in the country this past summer and Kai more than looked like he belonged. I knew then that this high school season was going to be special for Rogers. In my opinion, one of the things that you have seen in the past and what makes him an extra special talent is that you can see improvement almost from game to game at times. His stat line is an impressive 19.8 ppg, 13.5 reb per game, 3.3apg, 4.5 blocks per contest. Currently #2 in the class for the state and the only one on this list that is ranked nationally.
Chris Davis Jr | 6’4″ | SG | 2025 | Sun Prairie West
WOW! What a season so far for this prospect. Sun Prairie West has won some games, played some tough competition, and Chris is leading the state in scoring with a 41.7 ppg average. He has been improving with leaps and bounds ever since the summer ball has ended. By a lot of accounts this kid is a worker, and that hard work is paying off. It was just two seasons ago that he seemed to be under sized and his skill was that of a corner shooter. Now athleticism is on show and rising with every contest. Earlier this season I watched him, and his team go up against a very talented MAS team. They took them to the wire before dropping one of the most entertaining games of the year. He has scored 459 points in total on the year with several more games to go yet. That is a big number!!! Additionally, what I noticed is that he is shooting 41.3 % from deep on 92 attempts. That is also very impressive. He currently ranked #18 in the state for his class and truthfully that is where he was, but after this season and with his work, he should move up to 12 to 8 range I am guessing.
Drew Daoust Drew Daoust 6'2" | PG Southern Door | 2025 State WI | 6’2″ | PG | 2025 | Southern Door | Wisconsin Crusaders
Talk about a kid getting it done, it’s this one. He has scored a total of 490 points through roughly 14 games for a 35ppg average and had a high game of 53. He is doing this the hole time while now having the greatest shooting percentage from deep. But as of this writing he just received his first collegiate offer, Newman University. So that means he is getting noticed for his all-around efforts and play. Currently, ranked 21st in the state and the #3-point guard for the class.
Gavin Gores Gavin Gores 6'10" | PF Cumberland | 2025 State WI | 6’8″ | W | 2025 | Cumberland | Wisconsin Playmakers
Here is another player that I would say has been improving from this past summer on. I first saw him battle for his AAU team in a tournament in Minnesota last summer and was thoroughly impress with the way he battles. Now, this high school season he has exploded for some impressive points by averaging 27.4 ppg with a game of 51 right before the end of 2023. 36.1% from 3-point land is impressive for his size and I can guarantee if he keeps that up college coaches with take notice quickly. (See what happened to Jack Daugherty Jack Daugherty 6'8" | PF Brookfield Central | 2024 State #311 Nation WI of Brook Central last year) Currently, ranked #23 in the state and the #4 ranked PF in the class. I suspect a move into the top 15 will be warranted after this high school season.
Devin Isaj Devin Isaj 6'6" | SF Greendale | 2025 State WI | 6’6″ | W | 2025 | Greendale HS
Isaj has a lot of potential yet to come so I like to keep track of his progress each week. Already a solid player that I have watched from last high school season, the AAU season, multiple camps to what he is doing now for his Glendale squad. He is an example of what a confident player can become and here is what I mean – I watched him during the AAU season and thought he did solid. I then saw him travel to the UW-Green Bay prospect camp and thought that while improving he still had some work to do but still held his own against tough competition. Then just a few weeks later at a Prep Hoops Top 250 Prospect Camp he absolutely dominated, so much so that he earned the MVP for the camp. More than that he had his peers coming up to me saying ‘you have to watch this kid play’, ‘he’s killing it’. These performances most have spring boarded him into the season because his is performing in the top group for his class. 24.4ppg with a high game of 44 points. 34.1% on his triple is right where a wing needs to be in that category. I would stress more upper body strength is needed for his play style, but I am sure that will come. Currently, ranked 16th in the state and the 5th small forward for the class. Right now, I could see that improving to anywhere from 9th to 15th in this deep class.
Notables:
Zay Mitchell | 6’6″ | W | 2025 | Oshkosh North | Team Herro – He has added a 3-point shot to his game. 35.7% on 42 attempts. Nice!!!!
Jamarion Batemon Jamarion Batemon 6'3" | CG Milwaukee Academy of Science | 2025 State #174 Nation WI | 6’3″ | G | 2025 | Milwaukee Academy of Science | Power 5 – Shooting a cool 46% on 84 attempts from deep. Helps him to achieve a 20+ ppg average and goes along very good with a natural slashing style.
