Kai anchored the paint for PGC as they went 2-1 over the weekend. He’s an imposing physical presence, and it showed against Wisconsin Blizzard as he backed his man right under the rim before elevating and throwing down a dunk right over him. Defensively he’s quicker off the floor than he may look, which makes him a good rim protector as he can slide into position and elevate to block a shot. Met an explosive 6’7 forward at the rim for a highlight block against Power 5, and sent a few more shots flying off the court throughout the weekend. Would like to see him be a bit more aggressive with his post touches, although most times he’s doubled immediately.

-I wish I had the stats from this one, Rogers finished with at least 18 and 10 as a physical play-finisher around the rim against a pretty good DCP frontcourt. He takes pride in hitting the glass at both ends of the floor, carving out space under the rim and finishing well with either hand around the basket—he had 4 putback dunks in traffic. His footwork and balance fuse well with the physical gifts to make him a difficult cover for most frontcourts.

Rogers moves very well around the floor. He was able to play-inside-out at times here today for the Wisconsin Playground. Kai was able to finish inside through contact while showcasing a soft touch around the bucket. He works for position down low on the block and understands on how to seal off defenders to receive the ball down low.

Kai was able to showcase some ball handling out top at the top of the key at times.
