The biggest high school basketball night of the week, Tuesday! It's Tuesday and time to talk match-ups and predictions

5AAAA Minnetonka at 4AAAA Hopkins

[player_tooltip player_id='1284083' first='Andy' last='Stefonowicz'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1550877' first='Jayden' last='Moore']. This will be one of the best PG vs PG match-ups of the season. The NDSU signed lead guard against a top 100 ranked player nationally in his class. The skilled smooth veteran against the skilled hard charging tough sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id='1288767' first='Greyson' last='Uelmen'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1574212' first='Anthony' last='Smith']. Uelmen and Smith each lead their team in scoring at over 20+ a game. Similar in size, similar in frame, similar in confidence, they can both make shots at the arc or creating space to free open a shot. Another wonderful one on one to watch in terms of output at a position.

[player_tooltip player_id='1574218' first='Duke' last='Richardson'] vs Davie Hart. These are different players, both juniors. Richardson is more the shooter that can make some shots on the move, Hart is more the active slasher that scores his 14 a night mostly at the cup but is now hitting threes too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284162' first='Jordan' last='Cain'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1595734' first='JJ' last='Semanko']. Cain is scoring about 19 a game, Semanko is scoring about 17.5 a game. Cain has been a rim finisher scoring a high percentage much of his career but we are seeing more versatility. Semanko is known as a catch and shoot deadly weapon but is doing more than just feet set shooting this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1296153' first='Kayden' last='Wells'] vs Julius Ellis. Wells scores 14 a game with his activity and I would guess his rebounding numbers are in that eight a game area. Ellis is a big ball screening sophomore who clears space as the team's only big.

Prediction: A great game, a fun atmosphere, and a near impossible prediction. It's honestly a wild guess because: Hopkins had a great game against Wayzata, but they could not stop STMA and Eden Prairie in the past couple weeks having to out-score them by a basket plus lost to Edina recently. But.... Tonka also just lost to Edina, and they also had to out-score Buffalo and Eden Prairie although their games with the Lake teams weren't as up and down. Therefore I go with the more veteran Tonka players as they start four seniors, Hopkins starts zero seniors. Tonka by two.

6AAAA Shakopee at 10AAAA Farmington

[player_tooltip player_id='1288706' first='Jalen' last='Langsy'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1439459' first='Tyler' last='Beckwith']. Langsy is scoring 19 a night and in this Shakopee offense is often free to change games with open jumpers. He is about a 6'1 guard. Beckwith is a 6'4 small forward that plays with activity and strength. He will likely have to guard Langsy or one of the other perimeter shooters.

Isaac Snell vs [player_tooltip player_id='1617794' first='Ryan' last='Beckwith'].. Snell is the tough hard nosed guard scoring a dozen a game for the Sabers, his counterpart will likely be Beckwith who is also tough scoring 11 a game as a top three Farmington scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1575342' first='Isaac' last='Cordes'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='2422061' first='Jonah' last='Ask']. Cordes and Ask are the junior ball handlers, Cordes is one of the tougher and smarter lead guards you will see. Ask has stepped in and down a nice job in his first year on varsity.

Lucas Wherley vs [player_tooltip player_id='1287441' first='Brandon' last='Hrncir']. Wherley is a junior with a nice up side, he often is asked to defend the opposing team's big. Hrncir is that opposing big scoring 22 a game and having an outstanding senior season.

Prediction: There are two names not listed for each team that deserve mention: [player_tooltip player_id='1436821' first='Eli' last='Schroeder'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1574229' first='Devin' last='Pass'] for Shakopee, and Nik Domier and [player_tooltip player_id='1575348' first='Cole' last='Wilcek'] of Farmington. I think they are great reps for the difference of these teams. Schroeder and Pass are two more guards that can shoot, Domier and Wilcek are two more front court players. It's the deepest guard group and deepest frontcourt groups in the state. Do you go with the hometeam or the team with the skill all over? I say Shakopee by a score.

Fridley at Richfield

CJ Armstrong vs [player_tooltip player_id='1309707' first='Bryson' last='Buggs']. I went with Buggs here because he was healthy and playing when I saw Fridley last week scoring about twenty in the St. Croix Lutheran loss. Buggs and all of his teammates will try and slow down Armstrong who is scoring 33 points a game and is one of the best stories of Class AAA hoops this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1617809' first='Zavier' last='Hayes'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='2365722' first='Gideon' last='Cooper']. Hayes and his all around numbers of about 17 points, 7.5 boards and 5.5 assists a game brings the toughness and smarts of a senior that is asked to do just about everything at 6'4. Cooper is a long armed, just starting to develop agile 6'5 forward leading Fridley at 17 points and eight boards a game. Different players that aren't really posts but good sized players.

[player_tooltip player_id='2412724' first='Dre' last='Collins'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1296151' first='Antwan' last='Smith']. Collins is a nice freshman guard whereas Smith is the veteran Fridley ball handler. They represent the difference in the clubs as Richfield has a lot of pop and excitement towards the future where as Fridley is the deeper, more veteran team.

Prediction: Last week I watched Fridley give a game away with more missed shots at the rim than I have ever seen in a high school game. I do not think that will happen again. They have more experience and depth than Richfield BUT.... Richfield is at home with Hayes and Armstrong. Again, another one score game tough to predict, but Fridley is on a three game losing streak so I say Richfield.

2AAA Mankato East at Rochester Century

[player_tooltip player_id='1441838' first='Manaow' last='Omot'] vs Blaine Nash. Both Omot and Nash are in that a dozen a game area at 6'2/6'3 for their respective teams, Omot a senior while Nash a junior.

[player_tooltip player_id='1355507' first='Carson' last='Schweim'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1332274' first='Shaun' last='Wysocki']. Who are the top two D2 teams in the nation? Minnesota State-Mankato and Minnesota State-Moorhead. Where are Schweim and Wysocki going? Mankato and Moorhead respectively. And both are playing like All State seniors having fantastic years.

Prediction: I think East is hungry to get revenge on their one loss of the season. Century is playing a great team game this year and they've earned their 11-5 record. But I think they are about to run into some angry, angry Panthers tonight. East by 14.

2AA Albany at Foley

Zeke Austin vs [player_tooltip player_id='1617709' first='Gavin' last='Gross']. [player_tooltip player_id='1617709' first='Gavin' last='Gross'] is a 6'2 senior who is a true under the radar player having a great year scoring 22 a game. Foley is 11-3 with Gross leading the way. Austin may not be on Gross all the time but he does not to out play Gross with his playmaking.

Prediction: Foley started off red hot but has had some pitfalls lately. Albany had their pitfall early and they have found a grove. Albany by a dozen.
