Here is a list of prospects who stood out from Day 1.
Calvary Christian
Collin Paul Collin Paul 6’6″ | SF Jupiter Christian | 2026 State FL is a 6’8 combo forward who flashed a versatile skill set on opening day. He has a physical frame to defend bigger players and rebound in traffic. On the offensive end he flashes a skills that could lead to more perimeter play in the future. He has an encouraging face up game that he uses as a set up for attacking the basket. He soft touch on left handed push shots and runners. His length, nose for angling his body between the defender, and strength make the shot hard to defend.
Riviera Prep
Mason Fuentes Mason Fuentes 6’1″ | PG Rivera Prep | 2026 State FL is a speedy lead guard with a high feel and IQ for the game. The sophomore showed he could compete with highly regarded national prospects once again. His game is filled with change of pace drives, a lap package designed to make adjustments against shot blockers, and the playmaking to get his teammates involved.
Gustavo Guimaraes Gustavo Guimaraes 6’10” | C Westminster Academy | 2025 State FL rebounded well with another seven footer patrolling the paint. He’s quick off the floor and has flashes of rebounding outside of his area. Guimaraes has solid ball skills, smooth post footwork, soft hands, and a jump shot with expanding range.
Montverde Academy
Lucas Lima led Montverde in scoring with a highly efficient 21 point game. The 6’8 wing picked a great time to show his skillset and positional size. What surprised me the most is how often he got to the free throw line. He’s a smooth athlete who can finish above the rim and finish drives. Lima is a reliable three point shooter who can create shots for himself in space.
