Warlick is a guy whose physical presence is something that you can’t miss. He plays with great strength and is relentless when going to the basket. On the offensive side of the basketball, he can post up, shoot the three off of a catch, and finish at the rim with either hand. Not only does he have great talent but he also has a knack for basketball. On the offensive side, he always finds his way to the rebound and mirrors the same thing defensively as well. He led his team in points and rebounds throughout the entire tournament and he is my TOC MVP.
Highlights
Montonatti is a guy that loves to shoot a bunch of threes. With his length, he always seems to be able to get his shot off regardless of who is guarding him. If you put somebody shorter on him, he will post them up and use his height to his advantage to shoot over the top. If you put somebody bigger on him, he goes right around them and scores with ease. Throughout the three days, he was relied on to consistently make shots for his team to be successful and he didn’t disappoint.
Forsythe is a very explosive guy, and it doesn’t make a difference if he is trying to go to the basket or pulling up from the three-point line. He consistently plays with toughness and competes on every single play. Throughout the weekend when he couldn’t hit shots, he put pressure on the defense and was able to get to the free-throw line. Majority of games he is expected to play the entire game and does a great job of never taking plays off on either side of the basketball game.
Tramble is a guy who doesn’t score a bunch of points but always knows how to make the right play. He is very competitive and always willing to guard the best perimeter player on the other team. He has a great basketball IQ and understands how to get the ball to his teammates in the places they can score. At times throughout the tournament, he was a one-man fastbreak and was able to blow past the entire defense to get easy layups for himself and others. He understands the moment and always makes the play that is needed for it.
Furnish is a very smart basketball player and always seems to make the right play. He has a great understanding of what he can and can’t do and stays within himself. He does a great job of getting his teammates involved and knowing how to set them up in the perfect position to score. He can play on the ball or off the ball and be just as effective along with his leadership to motivate his teammates.
