Anthony took over in Saturday’s matchup with a top ten ranked Lakeville South team. He got hot from beyond the arc in the second half, knocking down some super tough shots. He also really impressed me attacking the rim as he was getting downhill in the half court and cashing in finishes when running in transition. He finished the win with a game-high 31 points. It is very interesting to watch the backcourt duo of Jayden Moore Jayden Moore 6’0″ | PG Hopkins | 2026 State MN and Smith, as it seems one of them will be hot in each game.
Nolan has had an amazing start to his junior season and he was averaging 25 points per game headed into Saturday’s matchup with Eden Prairie. He can score from all three levels and is very smart with the ways he can create enough space from a defender to get a shot off. He can knock down looks off the catch or off the dribble and really impressed me with his ability to finish through traffic. He hit his average with 25 points in the win.
Jackson has been one the biggest stock risers so far this season and had an impactful performance in the win over BSM. He is a true three & d player, being able to knock down shots from beyond the arc, as well as lock up on the defensive end. He has a quick release and is a really high percentage shooter off the catch. He has also shown the ability to attack the rim and finish through traffic. Fowlkes can fit into any lineup with his versatility and scored a team-high 22 points on Saturday.
Jaleel did all he could to try and keep his team in the game on Saturday, but it was not enough to take down Park Center. He was the main scoring option for this BSM team and looked good creating looks for himself. He was hitting some tough shots, most of which coming in the mid-range off the dribble. I also admired his fearlessness attacking the rim. Donley totaled a game-high 24 points in the loss.
Cash brought the energy on Saturday and supplied his team with momentum changing plays all throughout the game. I was impressed with his ability to deal with constant full court pressure all game, playing pretty much the entire game. As usual, he was unstoppable when attacking the rim and sprinkled in a couple triples as well. The Washington commit was also giving maximum effort on the defensive end. He had 19 points in the win over BSM.

I loved the energy that Hamze brings for his team on both ends of the floor. Going into Saturday, I knew that he was an excellent perimeter defender and he was making opposing ball handler’s lives very difficult. He has a super quick first step and was using that to blow by defenders to get downhill. The sophomore guard was also very effective from beyond the arc, knocking down looks from well beyond the three-point line. He scored a team-high 19 points.
Ron turned in a solid performance on Saturday, making an impact on both sides of the ball. He has proven himself to be a trustworthy ball handler and impressed me as a facilitator. He is very efficient when getting to his spots in the mid-range, being able to stop on a dime and get a shot off. Lee is also a lockdown defender and loves to play physically and with no fear.
Riley has been one of the players I have been most impressed with so far this season. He is the only senior starter for Orono and had a great game in the win over Eden Prairie. He is not afraid to play through contact and was using that physicality to attack the rim. I also love the intensity that he brings on both sides of the ball, as he is always giving 100% when he is on the floor. He had 15 points on Saturday and I really believe he could be a nice find for a Division 3 program.

JJ had an impressive scoring performance on Saturday, taking over stretches of the game. He is one of the best shot creators in the state’s 2025 class and is really good at creating separation from defenders. He was connecting with tough looks off the dribble in the mid-range or from beyond the arc. Sullivan has such a deep bag of moves he can go to in isolation situations and scored 17 points versus Orono.
Keaton was a bright spot for Lakeville South in Saturday’s loss against Hopkins. He made the majority of his impact as a perimeter threat, being teammates’ first option when making kick out passes. He has a quick release and knocked down multiple triples off the catch. He finished the game with a team-high and season-high 20 points.
