Riley has been one of the players I have been most impressed with so far this season. He is the only senior starter for Orono and had a great game in the win over Eden Prairie. He is not afraid to play through contact and was using that physicality to attack the rim. I also love the intensity that he brings on both sides of the ball, as he is always giving 100% when he is on the floor. He had 15 points on Saturday and I really believe he could be a nice find for a Division 3 program.

Riley is going to be a key piece for an Orono team that looks ready to get back to the state tournament. He brings a lot to the table, being able to make a difference on both sides of the ball. He is able to score from all three levels and can handle the ball when asked upon. He looked really explosive this past weekend, gliding to the rim and absorbing contact from opponents for finishes or fouls drawn. He can also add value on the defensive end, being able to apply on-ball pressure. Nelson and the Spartans will enter the season as one of the top teams in class 3A once again.
