Stagg is new to Florida, but he’s been a growing name in Virginia. The 6’8 forward is built like a college ready prospect with high major athleticism. He doubles as a tough paint presence who flashes perimeter skills like handling the ball in transition. He says his biggest adjustment has been the talent level, but he looks the part on the floor and produces against 4 and 5-star prospects.
Shoptaw is a 6’2 combo guard who’s shown his value since entering the state this summer. His blend of shooting and playmaking has made him a can’t miss prospect. During the City of Palms, he proved to be a solid on ball defender, a playmaker who can see the floor, and a player who can rattle off points in bunches. He’s a good ball handler who makes big plays out of the pick and roll.
Most seven footers don’t move like Medina. He runs the floor and uses his movement skills in the half court as a cutter. He flashes range out to the three point line even though his attempts are sparse. Medina is a solid mid range shooter who finishes well around the basket. Between his physical measurements and skill set, the junior has the tools to be a stock riser over in 2024.
Highlights
The burly 6’7 forward has light feet and an unexpected vertical pop to his game. It’s his mix of soft skills and brutishness that lands him in the top 100. He can beat defenders up in the post and deliver a feathery touch on right hand hook. He is a solid area rebounder with the strength to hold his own on the block.
Cuffle checks several boxes from a wing player. He’s a good athlete with a motor who can hit shots from deep. He knocks down shots off the catch at a high rate and shows off the same consistency as a mid range pull up shooter. The 6’5 wing also has the length and athleticism to finish around bigger defenders.
Jonas’ game starts from the defensive side of the ball. He’s an athletic 6’5 who takes the challenge of guarding the best perimeter player. Jonas plays hard and gets into his opponent’s Body without fouling. The junior scores best in transition and as a play finisher.
Highlights
Owens will challenge for the title of the best shooter in the class over the next season and a half. He has an almost automatic jumper beyond the college three with a quick trigger. He’s a patient, active off ball defender who attacks passing lanes and turns it into easy offense. Olympia has a pipeline of developing guards who become big time players as senior and Owens has next up written all over him. He can run the offense and make you pay for not having someone glued to him.
