Prep Hoops Florida will be in attendance evaluating and covering the event. Here is a list of players to watch for this weekend.
The 6-3 senior guard is a hard-nosed defender who has a strong intangible when it comes to guarding on the ball. On the offensive end, Horne has flashes where he can finish above the rim as well as score around the perimeter off the catch. He earns frequent trips to the free throw line where he can knock down those types of shots at a high level. On the defensive side, he is an excellent weak-side rebounder and has a strong knack for pushing the basketball up the floor in transition.
Highlights
The 6-4 guard has a strong offensive ability to apply pressure on the defenses where he can find open teammates while on the move. On the defensive side, he shows quick movement on and off the ball where he can also show exceptional versatility. He has a strong feel for the game where he can knock down shots across all three scoring levels. He is a big time prospect that can fit in at any level as a big-time college player. Lincoln currently holds an offer from Monmouth University.
The 6-0 junior point guard can hurt you in a lot of ways on the offensive end where he can score off the bounce as well as off the catch. Lucas plays with a high motor and is a great passer when it comes to finding open teammates on the move. He is also an excellent rebounder for his size who uses his athleticism against bigger players when it comes to battling on the glass.
The 6-3 junior guard is one of the elite scorers you will see take the floor this weekend at the SIAA Crossover. Duval can score across all three levels as well as play high-level defense. He is also an excellent passer with great court vision while playing with a high motor on the offensive end. He does a great job at finishing above the rim on the attack as well where he is unafraid to score while absorbing contact. Duval received his latest offer from Ohio and can expect that list to continue to grow as we gear into the season.
The 6-4 senior wing is a high-flying prospect who can score above the rim as he has gained more confidence when scoring on the blocks. On the defensive side, he is a lockdown defender and plays with high energy whether it’s on or off the ball. He is one of the most athletic guards I’ve seen in quite some time and has the intangibles to become a real deal of a college prospect. Breville currently holds an offer from South Carolina State.
Highlights
The UCF commit is worth keeping your eyes on this weekend, as the 7-1 center moves really well for his frame and size. He excels in the pick-and-roll offense where he can finish above the rim whether it’s off lobs thrown at him or put-backs. Thiam has also improved his mid-range game where he is knocking down shots off the bounce with more consistency. On the defensive side, Thiam plays with a ton of length where he can cover a ton of ground using his length to contest shots out on the perimeter.
The 6-7 senior wing and future Richmond Spider utilizes his length and athleticism to an advantage on both ends of the floor. Robinson is a pure scorer who can finish at the front of the rim as well as knocking down shots from out on the perimeter. He is very explosive and versatile on the defensive end as well where he defend multiple positions as well as having strong instincts to rebound. Robinson is also a proven winner where he can takeover a game when needed.
