Continue ReadingLed the way for his team in their win over NLCA on Tuesday night, finding numerous ways to make an impact. He finished with a team high of 26 Points but his rebounding and overall leadership for his team was just as impressive as his scoring.
Highlights
His team needed a second player to step up to take on some of the scoring load and that’s precisely what he was able to accomplish. Scoring 19 Points with several made three-point shots, he scored off the catch as well as off the dribble and got into the paint for buckets.
Smaller College programs that are in the market for a shooter should keep a close eye on this young man. He doesn’t need much time or space to get his shot off and has impressive shooting range. In their matchup with NWT he led his team with 27 Points which included a 15 Point quarter in the first half.
Although he battled foul trouble throughout the game, he made a nice impact for his team on both ends of the floor. He has the ability to be one of the best defenders in the area when he wants to be and can defend multiple positions due to his height, wingspan and athleticism.
From start to finish his team dominated their matchup with BBA and he was one of the main contributors throughout the night. He scored from inside the paint and in transition to lead his team with 16 Points.
It’s always refreshing to see a post player that looks comfortable playing inside the paint, and he seems to make the correct play the majority of the time from the post. He scored whenever he had the matchup advantage but made some impressive passes out of the post to setup teammates for easy scores.
Highlights
In his first year of varsity action, he’s getting the opportunity to compete against older talent and is showing some flashes of his potential. The one attribute that stood out the most to us about him was how hard he competes regardless of what may be going on. His team faced a very large deficit, but he did not allow that to deter him from playing hard on both ends of the floor until the end.
A new addition to the Fayetteville Academy squad, he already looks comfortable in his role as the starting Point Guard for the team. He understands how to get his team into their sets, balances his scoring and facilitating all while competing at a high level.
