On a team loaded with talent last season at BBA, he stepped up and was one of the consistent contributors on the squad which only helped him play onto the radar of more college programs. He has the height, strength, athletic ability and has greatly improved his perimeter shooting which are all attributes that you are looking for from a player plays on the wing at the next level.

In the early events I’ve seen him in he’s been the most consistent guy on the Team Wall 17U roster. Versatile on both ends of the floor he does whatever’s asked on the defensive end while still being the teams leading scorer. He did damage at the rim scoring from the block and attacking from the wing, but still knocked down a few jumpshots.

Johnson is a rising power forward to get to know at Berean Baptist Academy checking in at No. 94 in the latest rankings market corrections. He’s a matchup nightmare given his strong frame, size and ability to get downhill on the perimeter. He’s also got the underrated ability of knocking down shots on the perimeter. He knocked down 57 3-pointers this past season for the Bulldogs while averaging 13.2 points and 2.3 rebounds per contest. He’s an underrated athletic power forward to watch with Team Wall this spring/summer on the grassroots scene.

The guy who stood out the most from a scoring outlook for the Berean squad was Mr. Johnson. Standing around 6’5 he did a really good job of scoring from all three levels, including knocking down 3 three points and had what was arguably the dunk of the day in his teams win.

Johnson was another forward prospect who stood out and did well to raise his stock throughout the day at the showcase. He’s a tweener forward prospect at 6-foot-5 who’s shown he can handle the ball, attack the paint and knock down shots when given opportunities on the floor. He’s another new face to get to know at Berean Baptist Academy.

Johnson was back at it against with some impressive performances this week for his dominant Fayetteville Academy group, highlighted by a 25 point outburst in a dominant win over Rocky Mount Academy. He’s a positionless guy that could line up at point guard, the wing, or the post and be excellent everywhere. His perimeter game is still in development, but he makes up for it by being a strong slasher that can attack the basket.
