SCORER
McLavish can and will have some huge games this season. He’s one of the top shooters in the state and can put up some big numbers with that jumper. Anytime that McLavish gets going this season, it’ll be a show.
Highlights
Glassnor is one of the most explosive scorers in the state. He can get buckets and get them in a hurry. Glassnor is the type of player that can heat up and put his team up 10 before anyone knows what happened.
Highlights
TEAM PLAYER
McKenney could probably be anywhere and in any category in this article. But having him here is a statement maker. He’s a national superstar, but got that way employing a team first approach. McKenney could put up some nasty numbers, but the only number he’s worried about is how many state titles he wins.
Blanton has been, and will be again, a part of a loaded Chelsea backcourt. Ever see him look frustrated or impatient to get his shots? Never. Not even close. Blanton’s going to be a great program addition at the next level.
QUICKNESS
Perryman is like a lightning bolt. It really doesn’t matter if he has the ball or not, he’ll make you pay with his speed and quickness. Perryman can put a lot of pressure on the defense with this attribute.
Hatchett can dominate the action when the ball is in his hands. He can shake defenders with his quickness and make plays from there. Hatchett has a super fast first step with the ball.
VERSATILITY
Cull is going to be a huge matchup issue for opponents this high school season. He’s big enough and strong enough to body with basically any big. But he’s also skilled and athletic enough to work pretty much any wing off the perimeter.
Highlights
Go ahead and confine him to a position, I dare you. He was so tough for coaches to match up with last year and will be again this season. His length, ease of movement and efficiency with the ball and scoring makes for nightmare for opposing teams.
FACILITATOR
Lance Stone Lance Stone 5’7″ | PG Detroit Renaissance | 2025 State #179 Nation MI looks like an orchestra conductor on the basketball court. He can run the offense, create with pace and provide opportunities off the bounce. Stone is an elite lead guard that’s smooth as can be.
Blyden Jr. sneaks under the radar sometimes in the state, but he’s a supremely talented prospect. He’s athletic and effective with the ball in his hands. Blyden Jr. can get defenders on his hip and make them pay with a pass or a finish.
UPSIDE
Walther played up throughout grassroots season. And he didn’t just prove he belonged, but he stood out. He has the frame and the game needed to be a big time basketball player.
Karel has been shooting up prospect lists and recruiting ranks for months now. He’s already an elite player in the midwest, but his upside is off the charts. A big with a quickly developing perimeter game like his is hard to find.
