An excellent shot blocker who brings a constant motor, Speckman is among the steadiest frontcourt prospects in the state. Possessing a quick leap getting up to swat away opponent attempts, the sophomore has provided immense value for Lutheran’s interior defense. Alongside his willingness defending the paint, Speckman is always hunting rebounds, boxing out and asserting position to leverage an opportunity. The sophomore has continued to grow his shot versatility in the paint, getting to a larger diet of hook shots and creative finishes following pivot moves. Speckman’s continued growth handling the ball will be intriguing, already showing upside as a passing hub.
Paine has gotten plenty of opportunities against formidable frontcourt opponents, proving effective scoring under a variety of circumstances. Capable of pivoting past a contest, the forward appears composed under tight pressure. Another area of impact is Paine’s pace while rolling downhill, effective spacing out from the ball handler, allowing for wider windows on entry passes. When provided the space, Paine can knock down the spot-up three, possessing a high release on the shot.

Williams is an intriguing forward who has found ways to maintain position against likesize frontcourt opponents. Possessing a fairly dependable jump shot on spot-up attempts, the forward has already found ways to lure opponents out to the arc. The extra space has created plenty of opportunities for driving lanes, showing soft touch around the rim. There are not many prospects in the state with Williams’ skill set, already showing upside as a stretch big. Defensively, the forward is a capable post defender, doing well to maintain position against other 2026 frontcourt opponents.
Highlights
A quick forward with notable mobility, Mbadinga-Nzamba has immense upside as a two-way prospect. Especially quick getting up to block a shot or switch on the perimeter the forward should be capable of matching up 2-4 this upcoming season. Other areas of impact are the forward’s abilities spacing the floor, showing upside facing up for jumpers when provided space. His ability to roam around as a highly productive help side defender cannot be overlooked, adding immense value to Rocky Mountain’s defensive upside over the coming seasons.
Highlights
Van Alsburg remains a bit of a mystery, although his wide reach and soft touch leave plenty of room for intrigue. At past showcase events, Van Alsburg was an efficient finisher in the paint, getting to hooks and push shots above incoming contests. Defensively, there is no doubt Alsburg will make the lives of opponents much more difficult. Him and fellow forward Mbadinga-Nzamba will be among the state’s tallest frontcourt pairings.
