Fenderson already holds a number of D1 offers, and backed them up with a dominant performance in his opening game. Defenders stood no chance of stopping him in the paint, as he’s explosive off the floor and has the power to work his way into deep position under the rim. He changes directions very quickly at his size off the dribble, able to create an angle, get his defender on his hip, and then explode to the basket. Threw down a couple of powerful dunks while also showing his touch off the glass. Fenderson also showcased his ever-improving perimeter game, breaking his man down off the dribble and knocking down a number of jumpers.

Devin got his day started with a dominant game one. He kept the game simple, and produced at such an efficient level as he was working for high percentage looks in the paint. Isaj looks to have put on some muscle since his sophomore season, and it made him more effective finishing in traffic and pulling in rebounds. Did the bulk of his scoring in the paint but also showcased the smooth lefty jumper from beyond the arc. Just shy of 1,000 career points heading into his junior season.

Sam Mickelson Sam Mickelson 6’7″ | PF Madison Memorial | 2024 State WI came into the first game off the bench and had an instant impact. At 6’7 he was running the floor hard to pick up some transition looks, and was even able to handle it on his own in the open floor. He’s dangerous catching on the block where he can power his way to the rim, and he also makes great use of shot fakes to get guys in the air leading to easy buckets. Sam can also pop out and face-up from the high post because of his ability to elevate for a mid-range shot, or attack off one/two dribbles. Has some above the rim finishing ability as well.
Upon first impression Sam looks a bit bigger and more explosive than he did as a freshman. It showed pretty early on in the game I watched as he got out in transition and threw down a two-handed dunk. He has a ton of confidence with the ball in his hands, and was having success pulling up for threes or beating his man off the dribble and getting to the rim. Showcased impressive body control to just hang in the air and finish from a variety of angles. Will look to help Racine Lutheran improve upon their 9-17 record from last season.
You would think Anthony has eyes in the back of his head with some of the passes he was dishing out on Sunday. He excelled at getting two feet in the paint and spotting the slimmest of gaps to fit in a pass to one of his teammates cutting to the basket. His ability to deliver passes with either hand and from a variety of different angles really stood out. Wasn’t afraid to score it on his own either as his quickness allowed him to beat defenders off the dribble before scoring over the top with a floater.

Will was running his team like a true floor general. Whenever the ball was in his hands, the sophomore was making smart decisions to set his team up with good scoring opportunities. His team may not have had some of the big name prospects other teams did, but Will’s ability to create good looks for his team kept them in every game they played. Was able to drive and kick to create a handful of open threes for his shooters, while also providing an outside shooting threat himself. Really liked the toughness he displayed on the defensive end, going from defending guards to 6’4 forwards. Doesn’t back down from anyone.
