was a 2024 McDonald’s All-American nominee. The mid-range jumper looks good. He’s someone who can operate as a short roll pick-and-roll threat, if he can consistently knock down the jumper. His back to the basket game is good and he can attack off the dribble from the perimeter going right. He also has the potential to be a stretch floor option. He’s someone to monitor at the low major level and worthy of offers at the Division II level.

came into the first game off the bench and had an instant impact. At 6’7 he was running the floor hard to pick up some transition looks, and was even able to handle it on his own in the open floor. He’s dangerous catching on the block where he can power his way to the rim, and he also makes great use of shot fakes to get guys in the air leading to easy buckets. Sam can also pop out and face-up from the high post because of his ability to elevate for a mid-range shot, or attack off one/two dribbles. Has some above the rim finishing ability as well.

. The 6’7 junior has a pull-up jumper you don’t often see in players his size. Able to take one dribble into the space available and elevate like you’d see a guard do to knock down mid-range jumpers at a high clip. Showed signs of crafty footwork around the basket as well, combined with soft touch with his right hand. Was really impressed with how Sam was defending a 6’10 player on one end, yet still had the legs to hit his jumpers down the stretch to give his team a chance. Finished with 18 points.
