About LaTrevion
Expert Analysis
Jack Pfeiffer | Prep Hoops Scout
LaTrevion, an in-state Wisconsin Badger commit, turned in two great performances on day two in Milwaukee. The senior wing prospect is very strong and athletic, using these tools to make very strong drives to the basket, finishing through contact with ease. He was also fun to watch when he got in the open floor, dunking everything and getting the crowd on their feet. Fenderson looks college ready and is an excellent defender, being able to guard a variety of positions.

A textbook Small Forward 3 man. Watched team’s first game of the day on Saturday early afternoon and was really impressed with his toughness and skill in most phases of the game. Rebounds it with a hard nosed demeanor while the ball is high coming off the rim. Poised on the handle and can go off the bounce quickly. Played pretty active on defense challenging the passing lane with arms being wide and talking to teammates effectively. Wrapped up a W with a transition slam to end the game.

Fenderson was doing everything he could to try to keep Prairie in it against Fort Atkinson. He’s a power wing who excels at getting to the basket for high percentage looks. He possesses the handle and quickness to blow by bigger forwards off the dribble, but is too strong for most wings to handle around the rim. LaTrevion is extremely dangerous catching and facing up, where he utilizes hard jab-steps and shot fakes to get defenders leaning in one way before attacking the opposite direction. Big time rebounder who can pull in a defensive board and initiate the break on his own.

Fenderson continues to develop his game out on the perimeter. He still has that ability to go into the post and bully opposing wings with his size and strength, but is just as dangerous catching out on the wing. Great at utilizing jab steps to create a bit of separation and then just elevating for a pull-up jumper. Can also get to his spots off just one or two dribbles to get a shot off. Defensively he guarded a variety of spots throughout the weekend, as he moves well and has the strength to defend bigger forwards down low when needed.

Fenderson now is playing in the 2026 Class after reclassifying. He was playing down here this weekend with the Wisconsin Playground 16U squad. He really looked to get downhill with the ball all game long. Latrevion would try to bully defenders while attacking the basket. He showed good body control to the bucket along with a nice mid-range game.

Fenderson already holds a number of D1 offers, and backed them up with a dominant performance in his opening game. Defenders stood no chance of stopping him in the paint, as he’s explosive off the floor and has the power to work his way into deep position under the rim. He changes directions very quickly at his size off the dribble, able to create an angle, get his defender on his hip, and then explode to the basket. Threw down a couple of powerful dunks while also showing his touch off the glass. Fenderson also showcased his ever-improving perimeter game, breaking his man down off the dribble and knocking down a number of jumpers.

Fenderson had some moments of dominance last season as a sophomore for Prairie. Even though he was only 15 years old, there weren’t many defenders capable of containing his strong and explosive frame. Did occasionally run into foul trouble with his physicality in the post, but in most cases he was able to create high percentage looks around the basket. Fenderson has the explosiveness to finish above the rim while also high pointing missed shots to pull in rebounds in traffic. Versatile defender who can move his feet on the perimeter and also defend taller players in the paint. Already holds a pair of D1 offers after averaging 17.1 points and 10.9 rebounds per game last winter.
